KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora gave her a small smile and gently squeezed her hand before turning back to the window. There was so much unsaid between the two of them, and he wasn't sure if right now was a good time to bring it up.

 

Kairi followed his gaze, staring at the falling snow now too. She thought of going out and playing in it, throwing snowballs at Sora, along with Riku, Namine, and Roxas too like they did one winter. They'd had snowball fights and built snowmen, making snow angels. The thought of doing it again made her squeeze Sora's hand as she closed her eyes, a soft smile on her lips as she reminisced.

 

Sora took one look at Kairi's face and chose to be silent. Whatever she was happy about, he definitly didn't want to ruin it. He sighed softly and shut his eyes again.

 

Kairi thought of the evening they'd all gotten hot cocoa from a shop on the streets of New York. It had been a cold December afternoon and she was all wrapped up in her winter coat, scarf, and hat, her gloves cupping her cocoa. That day had been another one of many fun ones that winter. Sora walked beside her down the sidewalk, Riku right behind, and Roxas and Namine at the end as they walked arm in arm. She remembered how Riku had ruffled Sora's hair that day, causing the brunet to spill his cocoa on the sidewalk. Kairi, of course, offered him hers when he got upset and mad, and then they ended up sharing it until the very last drop had been sipped. And Sora had let her have a piggyback ride as they walked around New York City that day. Kairi smiled at the memory; that had been while she was crushing on him, them still being the best of friends. She loved being next to him, and the piggyback ride had made her even happier, and warmer.

 

Sora opened his eyes and stared out the window. Normally, the snow brought him a lot of happy, joy filled memories. But now all he felt was sadness that he couldn't make more happy memories this season. He silently watched the snow fall onto the New York City outside the box he and Kairi were trapped inside.

 

Kairi could think of many more, but she started to feel a little tired. And she couldn't open her eyes as the slumber grew. The silence and warmth of the hospital from the snow-covered New York was too comforting. And Sora's hand in hers made it even more relaxing. Kairi squeezed his hand softly, a soft sigh escaping her as she left conciousness.

 

Sora gazed over at Kairi and smiled softly when he heard her even breathing. He gently squeezed her hand, hoping that she would have sweet dreams. The snow continued to rain down from the sky as silence fell upon the room.

OOC: Okay

Sora blinked away the sleepyness as he let his eyes wander across the room. Wait...why was he lying down? He raised his head off the pillows and lookd around. He was in his room? How? Sora sighed and let his head fall back down. Someone must have found out where he was and brought him back to where he should have been. His gaze fell down to his arm and he noticed he had an IV in him again.

 

Kairi turned her head, her cheek against the pillow. She remembered that Sora was next to her, and she smiled as she opened her eyes. But the smile quickly vanished when she saw that he wasn't there. She pushed herself up, sitting up in her bed as she looked around. He was gone.

 

Sora turned his head on the pillow. Despite his hatred of needles, he was glad that he was getting medicine again. At least now his head wasn't hurting anymore. He took in a breath, relaxing a little.

 

Kairi turned her head when the door opened suddenly.

He looked up, smiling slightly at her confused expression. "Don't worry. He's back in his room."

Kairi sighed with a nod.

"I still don't believe how we hadn't noticed it until a few hours later," the doctor thought aloud. "You were both asleep when we found you two."

 

Sora blinked and let out a sigh. He really wished he wasn't in this position- being in a hospital bed, away from Kairi. It saddened him to know he couldn't be by her side at that moment.

 

Kairi just watched the doctor as he approached her bed. It made her upset that they'd taken him away, but it was for the best, and he needed his own care. The doctor told her to sit up straight and she did. He made her take in deep breaths as he listened to her heart rate, checking on her.

"Feeling any pain lately?" he asked.

She'd been asleep for the last few hours, and been with Sora for around one or two, not feeling anything. Obviously not. "Not really."

"No head pains, or stomach pain?" he asked again.

Kairi shook her head. "No."

 

Sora turned his head towards the door and just stared at it. He really wished that his doctor would come in and tell him that he could go home right away, but he knew that wasn't going to happen. He shook his head sadly to himself.

 

Kairi just now remembered the cut on her stomach. She automatically brought a hand to it and looked down. "Was it serious?"

"Hm?"

"My stomach," she said, looking up. "Was it serious?"

"Well, it definitely wasn't good. You had a pretty deep gash, and you lost quite a lot of blood," he said as he looked at his clipboard.

"But?" Kairi urged.

The doctor looked up. "But you might need to take a day or two more to recover."

 

Sora jumped when the door actually opened. He watched as his doctor walked in.

"How are you feeling, Sora?" The man asked as he walked over to check the monitors by Sora's bed.

"Better now that I'm on medicine." He told the doctor, watching him take notes on his clipboard.

"You're not feeling any pain, are you?"

"My wound still hurts quite a bit, but it's not as bad as it was when I first woke up from the coma." Sora stated.

 

Kairi bit her lip. She could live with that. "But...what about Sora?"

The doctor paused, arching a brow. "Your friend? Well, I'm not so sure about that. You'll have to ask his doctor yourself."
