KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora could only imagine what it was like really outside. He desperatly wanted to run out there and dance in the snow, but he knew that he wouldn't be able to do that for a while. That thought made him more somber than before.

 

Kairi couldn't believe that Christmas was almost here. She wanted to spend another Christmas with her friends, like old times. But she couldn't, because she was in here. She sighed softly, giving Sora's hand a gentle squeeze as she continued to stare out the window.

 

Sora squeezed her hand back and smiled softly as he looked out the window. He guessed that she was feeling something close to what he was feeling.

 

Kairi blinked, biting her lip. "I miss it..." she said softly.

 

"I know," Sora said quietly as he looked down at her. He lightly squeezed her hand. "I miss it too."

 

"You think it'll ever be the same again?" Kairi watched the heavy snowflakes spiral down from the sky. "After all that's happened?

 

Sora shook his head a little. "No. We can never go back to how things were." He paused and offered Kairi a warm smile. "We can only move forward."

 

Kairi turned her head and smiled slightly at his own smile. "Right."

 

Sora turned and looked towards the falling snow again. As much as he wanted to be out there, being here with Kairi was so much better, despite the circumstances.

 

Kairi bit her lip again, tightening her grip on Sora's hand softly as she looked back out the window. They'd be out of here soon, at least, she hoped they would.

Sora sat calmly as he looked out the window. He sighed softly. He missed having the freedom to have fun. Hopefull that would change soon.

Kairi couldn't wait for the Holidays. She loved that time of year. Thing was, she was probably going to be cooped up here when Christmas finally came around. The thought made her bite her lip. She hoped that wasn't the case. She wanted both of them, her and Sora, to be out of this God forsaken hospital before it came around. They needed to be with their friends that day, where they belonged.

 

Sora shut his eyes and leaned back in his chair, thinking. What would the holiday season be like this year? He had a feeling that Kairi would possibly be able to go home for Christmas, but he doubt that he would be as lucky.

 

Kairi turned her head away from the window and looked at Sora. "Do you think we'll be out of here in time for Christmas?"

 

Sora opened his eyes, but he didn't look at Kairi. He kept his eyes locked on the falling snow. "You'll probably get to go home." He said with a small smile.

 

Kairi smiled slightly, but it faded just as quickly. "What about you? You'll come home too, won't you?"

 

Sora shook his head a little and put one hand behind his head as he rubbed his neck slightly. "I don't know if I'll be allowed to." He said softly.

 

Kairi arched an eyebrow. "Why not? Aren't you feeling better?"

 

Sora looked down to his feet. The truth was, he wasn't feeling too good, but he didn't want Kairi to worry. He just felt like he needed to spend a little more time here before he went home. He couldn't help but remember what had happened the last time he had left the hospital too early. As much as he hated to admit it, he was afraid what would happen outside of this place.

 

Kairi pushed herself up and propped herself up on her elbows, the only sound in the silence being her shifting under her sheets. "Sora?" She looked at him with worried eyes.
