KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora gasped and did another backflip to avoid a critical blow. He didn't have time to summon his keyblade again-first he had to protect himself from all these attacks. Dodging would work better than blocking. He let out a cry and fell facedown on the ground when AntiSora snuck up behind him and hit him hard in the back.

 

That was it; that one cry had been enough for the message to finally transmit to her mind. Kairi ran forward, the Keyblade in her hand as she hurried to help. She had to do something; she couldn't run away from something like this, no matter how much Sora wanted her to.

 

Sora gasped in pain as he felt the dark keyblade pierce his heart. "Oh..." he gasped softly, feeling his life energy leave him. His eyes shut halfway.

 

She could see them now. No... That one word ran through her mind as she approached them. He couldn't be going, she'd seen him leave once, and that was because of her and her heart being inside him. She couldn't see it happen again. She wouldn't. "Hey!" she yelled as she got closer, the Keyblade ready in her hands.

 

The heartless turned around, holding Sora's heart in his hand. He threw it up in the air and caught it with a grin on his face.

 

Kairi skidded to a halt with a gasp when she saw it. "No..." she said softly in disbelief. Her eyes started welling up in tears, her vision blurring. She grit her teeth. "NO!" Kairi ran forward again, tears flying from her eyes as she sprinted toward the Heartless.

 

Sora's heart began to glow faintly in the claws of the heartless.

 

No, she wouldn't believe it. He wasn't gone, Sora hadn't left her. She wouldn't let him slip through her fingers again. Kairi wouldn't let him go this time. She pointed the Keyblade at the Heartless in fury when she jumped into the air, her anger sending energy through the Kingdom Key. The Key started to glow with a white light.

 

The heartless stared at her in surprised, holding the heart still in his claw.

 

"I won't let him go!" she screamed, thrusting the Keyblade in front of her and pointing it at the heartless with both hands. Her emotions had made the white light brighter, and as she reached the peak of her jump, a beam of white light shot out of the tip of Sora's Keyblade, heading straight toward Sora's Heartless.

 

The heartless screetched as the light hit his body. His scream of terror rang out in the silence as his body fade in a dark mist.

Sora's heart flew up in the air and then slowly float its way back to Sora's body. His body glowed faintly with a white light as his heart reentered his body.

 

The screech hurt Kairi's ears so bad that she didn't catch herself when she fell. Instead of landing safely, she landed on her feet with her wait being forced to her side, causing her to roll a few times on the cold, black ground. The clatter of Kingdom Key hitting the floor beside her blended with the echoing screech of the Heartless and Kairi found herself laying on her side, one arm under her head as she winced from the impact.

 

Sora's body twitch as he regained conciousness. He was still flat on his face, but he didn't have the strength to move yet.

 

Kairi let out a groan as she moved slowly, pushing herself up to see around her. The light engulfing Sora's body was dimming and fading away. She gasped, her eyes widening, and pushed herself up frantically. She ran over to his side, kneeling down beside him as tears flooded her eyes. "Sora? Sora.."

 

Sora moved his arms undeath him and used them to slowly push himself to his knees. He greedily took in the refreshing air.

 

Kairi let out a sob, tears streaming down her face. He was here, and that was one of the reasons why she was crying. The other, the fact that he had left, even for those few seconds.

 

Sora grunt softly as he shift sitting positions, sitting instead of kneeling on his knees. He sighed weakly. At least now he was starting to get his strength back.

 

Kairi let out another sob as she stared at him, relieved to see those ocean blue eyes. Tears trickled down her cheeks quickly, one replacing another as soon as the other left her eye.

 

"Thanks, Kairi." Sora said softly, gratefully. He reached over and held the Kingdom Key in his hands.

 

Kairi nodded silently as a tear streamed down her cheek. She couldn't tear her eyes away from him; she was afraid that if she looked away he'd disappear again.
