KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora opened his eyes and looked out at the window, feeling very alone.

 

The scene suddenly changed, and Kairi was next to Sora in the hospital room. She was bent over in pain, her outfit soaked in blood from her cut. It'd reopened again. The doctor was in front of her, staring at her firmly. Her eyes found Sora, and he was staring at her with wide, worried eyes. It broke her heart to see him this way; he looked scared. Kairi winced again at the pain and then whimpered. She heard Sora speak and then she looked at him. If she left she wouldn't be able to be with him. They'd be seperated in different hospital rooms. She felt the doctor next to her and she stopped walking, exhausted and weak. The next thing she knew, she was in his arms and being carried away. A tear slid down her cheek.

One tear ran down the side of Kairi's face.

When Roxas looked up from his seat next to her, he gasped at another tear that slid down her face. He couldn't believe this. When he'd gotten the call, he was immediately there, feeling the same way he did when he got the call about Sora being back in the hospital, or even seeing him in the hospital bed. He hated that his friends had to go through so much.

 

He had to try and see her. He just had to. He took in a deep breath and began to move himself, shifting his legs over the side of the bed. He winced as he began to feel dizzy again.

 

Roxas brushed his hand against her face lightly, wiping the tears away. He hated seeing her and Sora in hospital beds. It tore him up inside. If Namine was in here.... He shook his head and sighed. Roxas didn't even want to imagine that.

 

Sora sat at the edge of the bed, glad that they had taken him off of the blood and IV for a little while. Since he had nothing attatched to him, he could probably go next door and see Kairi, if he could even walk...

 

Roxas had already seen Sora and his state. He'd been asleep while he was there. He did what he was doing now when he visited him, sitting there in a chair next to the bed, fingers linked together as he leaned his elbows against his knees and had his hands at his chin, thinking about everything that's happened. All of this because of that stupid doctor and robber. It was ridiculous how one moment, and even one person, could change your life forever.

 

Sora pushed off the bed and slowly but surely rose to his feet. He stood there for a moment, holding onto a chair to steady himself as everything began to spin again.

 

Everything was black around her, the last few things she remembered being Sora and the nurse who had been so nice to her while she wept. Kairi stood in the darkness, seeing nothing but black around her. She was scared.

Roxas stared off into space, looking across the bed and at the wall. He wished he could somehow go back in time and fix this mess.

 

"Whoa," Sora said softly as he grabbed onto his chair for support. He looked to the door and saw a nurse enter the room. She was giving him a very stern look.

"Sora, what are you doing out of bed?" She demanded, staring at him.

"I...uh..."

"Lie down." She ordered, pointing at the bed.

"But--I have to see my friend." He plead with her. "Please.

 

Kairi exhaled in her sleep, her monitor beeping with her heart.

Roxas didn't even hear the beeps anymore as he lost himself in his thoughts. He wanted to set things right again, but there was nothing he could do, even though he wished he could. Hopefully both Sora and Kairi would be out of here soon. This hospital was starting to give him the creeps.

 

The nurse shook her head and pointed at the bed again. "Look at you, you don't have the strength it takes to get there and you know it. Just lie back down." She said, souding quite mean.

Sora stared at her sadly, knowing that she was right.

 

Roxas sighed, dropping his hands from his chin and keeping them linked as he rested his elbows against his knees. He looked over at Kairi. Her expression was blank.

 

Sora curled his hand into a fist. He was going to see Kairi, no matter what. "I'm going to see her." He said firmly. He let go of the chair and slowly made his way to the door.

 

Kairi bit her lip as she turned her head every which way. There had to be a way out of here, right? Sora'd done it, if she remembered it correctly. She could do it too.

Roxas lowered his head and stared at the floor.

 

Sora continued to walk and put one hand on his wound as he went towards the door. The nurse stood still, looking surprised that he could walk even a few steps.

 

Roxas closed his eyes and tried to relax. Sora'd be okay soon and so would Kairi. He just had to be patient.

Kairi started walking, fiddling with her fingers as she looked around. This place was scary, and lonely. She didn't enjoy her time here so far, and couldn't wait to get out.

 

Sora put a hand on the door knob and winced when he felt pain shoot through his chest. He felt the nurse put a hand on his uninjured shoulder.

"You need to lie down," she said firmly.

Sora weakly nodded and turned back to the bed, mentally apologizing to Kairi for not being able to be with her.

 

Kairi walked for what felt like forever before stopping and sighing. "This is useless," she said, her voice echoing in the darkness. She sat down on the floor, putting her head on her knees.

 

Sora set himself down on the bed and laid down on his side, facing away from the nurse. He heard her sigh and leave the room. Kairi, I'm so sorry, he thought as he shut his eyes.

 

Kairi thought for a moment. Where was she anyway? She couldn't be in t he depths of her heart, could she? Or was it just her mind?

Roxas looked up at Kairi. There was no change.
