KH- Fast Food Madness!

"Kairi, you need to go with him." Sora kept his voice strong and firm as he kept his wide eyes on the blood spot.

 

Kairi lowered her head as she gasped for a breath. A small whimper escaped her as she squeezed her eyes shut. It hurt.

"Come on," the doctor said. "We need to get going."

 

Sora nodded. "Do what you need to do."

 

Kairi bit her lip to hide her tears. She looked over at Sora. She didn't want to leave him. Who knew how long they'd be apart? A few days? She didn't want to stay away from him for that long. What if he went back into a coma again? They'd be in seperate rooms, and she didn't want to be away from him.

"Kairi." The doctor stared at her firmly.

 

Sora nodded to the doctor again, silently telling him to just take Kairi and go.

 

The doctor walked forward and put his hand on Kairi's arm. He shifted her carefully so he didn't hurt her and started walking toward the door with her.

Kairi leaned into the doctor weakly. It hurt her so bad, she couldn't walk.

The doctor stopped and put his arms under her, picking her up in his arms.

Kairi felt a tear slide down her cheek as she left the room with the doctor. There were multiple reasons why she was crying. She didn't want to leave Sora. Another reason was that they ended on the wrong foot and she wanted to settle it. And another was that she was in extreme pain, tired, and sick of this mess. She didn't want to deal with it anymore.

 

Sora felt a tear slide down his cheek as he watched Kairi leave. He hated seeing her in so much pain, and he really wished that she could lean into him. Unfortunatly, he couldn't even hold himself up these days.

 

Kairi rested her head against the doctor as he walked her down the hall quickly. She felt the tears start to fall uncontrollably now. She hated this, she hated all of it. She heard voices nearby that sounded alarmed and she knew they were for her. Kairi felt herself being put on a cot. She continued to cry as they wheeled her into the ER.

 

Sora shut his eyes and felt another tear fall. He didn't even know what was wrong.

 

Kairi could hear lots of voices around her, and that's when she opened her eyes.

"Don't worry, honey. It's going to be all right." A nurse patted her hand and rubbed it nicely.

Kairi closed her eyes again. She suddenly felt something stick her in the arm, a tear sliding down her cheek. She heard the nurse repeat her words and then her world went black.

 

Sora sighed and wiped at the tear. He shut his eyes and leaned his head back tiredly.

Beep.... Beep.... Beep....

Kairi found herself in a place she hadn't been to in a long while, but recently. A place she could never forget, for it was here that things changed. She turned at a scratching noise in the jail, seeing two Neoshadows staring at her evilly. Her eyes widened as she backed up. They both stalked toward her slowly.

 

Sora opened his eyes and searched the room. He looked at the clock and saw that it was about 10 hours later than it had been before. He must have dozed off...

 

Kairi looked around helplessly, seeing that her friends were there with her. This surprised her. Was she reliving that night? She looked to her right, seeing Roxas slashing away at two Shadows. Behind her she saw Riku's form lying on the floor. And to her left...Sora, fighting weakly against the Heartless that surrounded him. He was having his attacks now, as they fought away the enemies.

Kairi felt weight on her right arm, seeing Oathkeeper in her hand suddenly. "Huh?" She looked around, everyone else busy with their foes. She caught the two sets of yellow, glowing eyes in front of her. She held the keyblade in both of her hands and stared at them, ready for one of them to pounce.

 

Sora turned his head and looked down at his chest. He winced as his wound began to burn. He let out a small groan and gingerly put a hand on top of it.

 

She was correct. The first Neoshadow jumped at her, and with a cry she slashed at it, stopping it for a moment. She hit it a few more times, making it disappear in a black mist. She looked to her right, looking for the other heartless. Kairi flitted her eyes back and forth, not seeing it anywhere. Had somebody already gotten rid of it?

She waited. Nothing. It was gone. She looked at the floor when she caught something move. A Shadow. No, two. She slashed at one when it popped up, but the other took advantage of her vulnerablitly, scratching her in the leg.

Kairi sucked in a breath, her heart monitor jumping.

 

Sora curled his other hand into a fist as he tried to get through the pain. Again, it felt as if he was just stabbed one second ago- the knife cutting through his fragile skin and piercing into his body...

 

Kairi winced at the pain in her leg. But then another came at her arm. This Shadow wouldn't quit. She stepped back in pain. She saw it lunge at her again. A burning, stinging pain shot across her stomach, her outfit getting torn with the injury. Kairi let out a cry in pain and then swung her Keyblade at the thing, destroying it. She gripped her stomach in pain. When she pulled her hand away, she saw blood on her hand.

The heart monitor jumped again, and a tear slid down Kairi's cheek.
