KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora pushed his legs over the side of the breath and breathed heavily. He had realized that he was weak, but this simple task proved to be extremely hard. He sighed and sat for a moment, not sure if he was able to stand up.

 

The doctor walked down the hall, looking at his clipboard as he headed for the room of Kairi's friend.

Kairi's eyes widened when she saw her doctor. "Doctor!" she hollered.

The man turned when he heard the voice, his eyes falling on his patient. Something seemed different about her, but he approached her anyway. "Yes, Kairi?"

Kairi took in a breath and then spoke. "Do you have my medicine. I need it."

"Your pains are returning again?" he asked.

"Yes. Can I please have the medicine? Now?" she asked impatiently.

"Yes, yes." He pulled the bottle out of his pocket and handed it to her. "Is everything all right?"

 

Sora put his feet firmly on the ground and used his arms to push himself up. He grunt as his wound began to burn even worse. But he kept going anyway. He used what energy he had left to get himself standing upright.

 

Kairi flexed her jaw as she tried to stay strong. "Yeah...I just need my medicine."

"Where were you headed?" the doctor asked.

"Looking for you," she said softly as she opened the bottle of pills. She popped three in her palm.

"No, no. Only two every 6 hours, Kairi."

Kairi popped two of them in her mouth and put the other back in the bottle quickly. She leaned her head back and swallowed them dry. She leaned forward quickly because of the pain on her stomach. She closed her eyes slightly.

"Kairi, are you all right?" the doctor asked. His eyes were wide.

Kairi nodded and started walking again. "Yes."

"Wait a second," he ordered.

 

Sora looked around, proud of himself for getting that far. He lift one foot off the ground and immediatly regret standing. He felt so unbalanced and dizzy all of a sudden...

He groaned and let his body fall back onto the bed. He curled into a ball and tried to ignore the sickness he felt.

 

Kairi kept walking, ignoring him.

"Hey," the doctor grabbed her arm.

Kairi looked at him. "What?"

He immediately looked at her stomach. "You're...bleeding."

Kairi looked down at her dress and saw that the blood was seeping through. "It's nothing. I'll be fine..." She pulled herself away from him and started walking down the hall to Sora's room.

"You need medical attention, Kairi!" the doctor hollered as he caught up with her.

 

Sora came out of his ball form and leaned his back against the pillows, keeping himself in a sitting position. He shut his eyes and groaned as he began to feel nausous.

 

Kairi kept her pace and kept walking.

"Listen to me," the doctor said firmly now.

Kairi stopped at the door, caught off guard by his sudden seriousness.

"You are in need of medical attention, young lady. I won't stand around and let you lose all of that blood."

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack and watched the room spin in front of him. He held his breath to try and get everthing back to normal.

 

"I already told you," Kairi said loudly and firmly. "I'm fine. I'm not the one in the hospital bed. Sora is. He's the one that needs caring for right now. Okay?!" Kairi's voice rose with every word she spoke, and near the end she was close to yelling.

 

Sora groaned and lift a hand to his head. He shut his tightly and took in a shaky breath.

 

"You're bleeding," the doctor said back. He kept his voice firm. "You need to get surgery."

Kairi rolled her eyes. "I don't care. I'm more worried about the boy inside this room, doctor. So if you don't mind, I'd like to go see him. We ended on the wrong note before I left. And I'd like to talk to him, okay?!" She was hollering again. She was sure anyone could have heard her from down the hall and in a room. Kairi felt different somehow; she didn't feel quite right, like she cared less about her own health and more of Sora's, despite the fact that she was bleeding, badly.

 

Sora held his hand in his head and kept his eyes shut tightly. He didn't understand why he felt so horribly dizzy all of a sudden, but that didn't affect how he felt, so he didn't put much thought into that. He sighed softly to himself.

 

"Kairi, listen to me. You--"

Kairi ignored him and whipped the door open, walking inside. She saw Sora lying on the bed, looking uncomfortable. "Sora?" she asked, alarmed. She walked over to him quickly, wincing slightly at the stinging in her stomach. "Are you all right?"

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack and winced when he felt extreme pain in his head. Kairi was back. "I'm fine; it'll pass." He said softly, keeping his breathing quiet.

 

Kairi stared at him for a second and then winced, gripping her stomach when the cut began to burn. Her dress was rubbing against her wound, blood seeping through the fabric and visible from the front. She closed her eyes and bit her lip as she tried to take a breath.

 

Sora closed his eyes and took in a shaky breath. It was starting to get better, but he still felt really sick.

 

Kairi heard the door open. She already knew who it was.

"Young lady, I will not let you stand around and lose all that blood. As your doctor, I am responsible for your health." He walked forward. "You must get to the ER."

Kairi folded her arms over her stomach has she bent forward in pain. She felt that part of the fabric, wet with blood.

 

Sora's eyes popped open as he looked over at Kairi. He immediatly noticed the blood on her outfit. He gasped. "You're..." he trailed off and bit his lip. How could he not have noticed it before?

 

Kairi looked up at the doctor, her eyebrows furrowed in seriousness. "I told you...I'm fine." Her voice was shaky as she tried to stay strong and serious.
