KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora turned and nodded towards the door. "You should go get your medicine," he said quietly.

 

Kairi looked at him for a second and then looked away, gnawing on her lip as she felt tears start to form. Without a word, she got up quickly and walked out of the room, not bothering to close it quietly. As she started down the hall, she heard it shut loudly behind her.

 

Once she was gone, Sora sighed sadly. How could she have kept that from him? Sure, he understood that she didn't want to worry him, but by doing that, she had pushed him away. He wanted to help her carry her burdens, but every time she was in a weak spot, she pushed him away. He felt so sad that she had put up her wall again.

 

Kairi walked down the hall, traveling aimlessly. She didn't know where he doctor was anyway. The girl wiped a tear from underneath her eye as she passed nurses and other patients. She changed her mind and looked for the bathroom. She needed to get somewhere quiet for a few moments.

 

His first instinct was to run. He wanted to get away from the pain of being pushed away. But of course, he couldn't do that very well at the moment, since his body ached worse than he had ever felt before. His second instinct was to put up a wall to protect himself. But Kairi was already inside his wall. He turned his head towards the window again and felt a tear slide down his cheek as he watched the snowflakes fall.

 

Kairi turned the corner, looking over her shoulder. She suddenly felt something hit in the her stomach, a stinging and burning pain coming from inside her. She lost her balance and fell to the floor, hitting her head slightly. Kairi glanced up to see what it was and saw a cart against the wall that she hadn't seen. A woman came over and extended her hand.

"I'm so sorry, sweetie."

Kairi took her hand and winced when she was helped up. Her stomach was burning. She looked at the nurse. "Um, if you don't mind me asking, where's the nearest restroom?" After getting the directions, she said thank you and started down the hall. Her stomach was killing her now, not to mention that her head was hurting again from her fall.

 

Sora curled his hand into a ball, trying to get his strength back. He felt too vulnerable lying down in that bed. He lift his left arm a little, using a lot of his energy to do it. It felt like it weighed a ton. Sora sighed and let if fall back to his side.

 

Kairi pushed open the door to the restroom, glad that no one else was around. She went to the mirror and sink. She unzipped her dress partly, able to see her stomach. Her eyes widened and then she winced. The cut she'd gotten from that Heartless back at the jail a while ago had opened again, and it was hurting her, burning, stinging. She took a paper towel and put it to her cut, wincing at the pain. Kairi pulled it from her stomach and noticed the blood on it.

 

I can do this, Sora thought to himself, building up strength. He was going to force himself to sit up, no matter what. He put his hands on the bed and starting pushing up with his arms. He let out a small cry as his stab wound began to burn. He fought away the tears as he finally propped himself up. He moved a hand on top of the wound to try and stop the extreme pain.

 

Kairi squeezed her eyes tightly at the pain in her stomach and head. It felt like the medicine she'd received for her head while she was in the hospital for her injury; the medicine the nurse had given her had burned as it went through her veins. It was like that now, but worse in her stomach. Kairi pulled the paper towel away from her wound as she gripped the sink in pain. It was overwhelming.

 

Sora closed his eyes and took in several deep breaths as he tried to get the pain to subside. It hurt so bad! It almost felt as if he had been stabbed at that very moment. Again. He shuddered at the thought of the knife that had pierced through his skin. That was perhaps the worst pain he had felt this whole ordeal.

 

Kairi let out a small whimper as she bowed her head from the pain in her skull and stomach. Both of her injuries had come back, and it was worse. She squeezed her eyes shut tighter in pain, the air touching her open wound while her dress was still partially unzipped.

 

Sora gasped and opened his eyes. He fought tears. He had seen those horrible, yellow eyes staring back at him. He whimpered and forced himself to keep his eyes open.

 

Kairi opened her eyes and stared at herself in the mirror. She was a mess; her face looked exhausted, her stomach was bleeding, and the head pains didn't help. With her dressed half-unzipped, Kairi could see that she'd gotten skinnier from not eating as much. She could see a bit of her ribs, which made Kairi want to get sick. She'd never been in a condition like this.

 

Sora looked down at his arms and saw that he had needles in both-one giving him blood, another giving him medicine. He gazed off into the distance, not really seeing anything. He hated the idea of having needles in him, especially after he had been stabbed in the chest with one soon after he had first seen the fake doctor.

 

Kairi needed to find her doctor, but she felt weak. She could only grip the sink tighter as she tried to take in breaths to calm herself down.

 

Sora blinked, returning to reality. He looked around the room and saw that he was still alone. He sighed to himself. He wanted to shut his eyes, but he was too afraid of what he would see. He needed to do something to keep himself distracted...but what?

 

Kairi leaned forward, taking in a deep breath. Her head pains were sharper and her stomach was stinging again from her cut. She could feel a little blood trickle down her midsection to her belly button. She needed to find her doctor....

 

Sora shift uncomfortably. He could probably force himself over to one of the chairs by the window. He knew that he probably shouldn't be moving around, but he had to do something. He used his left arm and began to scoot closer to the edge of his bed.

 

Kairi stood up wearily, using the paper towel to wipe away the blood. It stung her to wipe across her cut carelessly, but she needed to at least get rid of it for a little while. Once it was done, she zipped her dress back up and walked out of the bathroom slowly. She bit her lip as she tried to hide her pain so she wouldn't gain attention, looking for her doctor. He had to be around here somewhere...
