KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora looked at his palm and was surprised when he saw what was in it. It was the charm. And it wasn't attatched to the end of the keyblade. The keyblade itself had disapeared. Maybe that meant something. Maybe this wasn't a physical fight, maybe it was more about his light conquering his darkness. He shakly rose to his feet and stared at his dark self.

 

Kairi focused her energy and heart on the charm. It held a strong connection between her and Sora. Focus. You can do this. You can defeat anything thrown at you. You're brave, your heart is strong. Focus on what's truly inside you, Sora. The answer lies within. Kairi furrowed her brows as her eyes stayed closed. Where did that come from?

 

Sora looked to the sky when he heard Kairi. Only it wasn't her voice, it was her heart speaking to him. He wondered if he could speak to her to? 'I'm trying.' Sora told her through his mind, hoping she could hear him. He stared straight ahead and at the heartless. "Go back to where you belong," Sora told it. "And don't come back."

 

Kairi opened her eyes when she heard him. She stared at his sleeping form. They were able to communicate this way, a newly discovered ability. She lowered her head and closed her eyes.

 

Sora stared back at his darkness, unsure. Why was he still there. Suddenly, the shadow tackled him roughly, causing him great pain. "No!" He screamed.

 

The beep of the monitor jumping made her eyes flash open. What was going on? What was Sora going through? She stared at the charm; maybe it wasn't good enough....

 

Sora fought back as the thing tried to steal his heart. "No!" He yelled again. He shoved the thing off him. He rose to his feet, breathing heavily. He wasn't giving up that easily.

 

His heart rate only keeps increasing. It's not working.... Kairi exhaled slowly as she tried to think of something else to do. She had to help him, or at least try.

 

He stared at the shadow more fiercly. Fighting it with weapons was pointless, he needed to use the light from his heart to defeat it. He stood still and closed his eyes.

 

But the charm was the only thing she thought she could use. Kairi closed her eyes and remembered that they communicated with each other through their hearts. Maybe if she could do it again....

 

Sora kept his eyes shut and drew in a deep breath, feeling a new kind of energy flowing through his body.

 

Kairi inhaled deeply and relaxed. Sora. Sora, remember your Light. It makes you who you are, and gives you the strength to defeat any conflict you face. Look deep within and then come back. I believe you'll defeat this, and I believe in you.

 

Sora felt the power run through his body, because of Kairi and his own heart connecting. He opened his eyes confidently and looked at his dark self. It was staring at him, almost afraid, but still very angry. It screeched as it desperatly threw itself at Sora.

 

Kairi opened her eyes slowly, exhaling with the warmth inside her heart. She kept her hands clasped around the charm and around his hand, staring at their hands together.

 

A white light suddenly exploded out of Sora and completely destroyed the heartless. After the light had faded, Sora fell to his knees and gasped for air. 'It is finished,' his heart spoke out.

 

Kairi looked at the monitor. Nothing. She flitted her eyes back to his face, looking for any sign of emotion.

 

Sora gasped and opened his eyes. They were wide as his gaze dart across the room.

 

Kairi's eyes widened slightly. "Sora?" She put the charm down in her lap and looked at him.

 

Sora blinked and tried to calm down. He felt sweat all over his face.

 

Kairi's eyes stared at him in worry. "Sora? Are you all right?" she asked.
