KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora smiled back at her, not ruining the silence and romance that hung in the air.

 

Kairi didn't want this moment to end. She was enjoying the affection in the room between her and Sora, something she'd wanted for the longest time. After all that's happened lately, she hadn't even had the time to think of it. But now that it was here, she couldn't ignore it; she couldn't let it go.

 

Sora shut his eyes a little and took in a breath quietly. He was so tired, but he didn't want to sleep.

 

Kairi kissed his forehead and then leaned back, a smile still planted on her lips. She was so glad that Sora was here with her. She couldn't imagine anyone else.

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack and returned her smile.

 

"Are you tired still?" Kairi asked softly, her eyes staring into his.

 

"A little." He said softly. "More like just feeling weak in general." He offered her a small smile.

 

She smiled softly back at him. As much as she loved him being awake, if he needed the rest, she understood.

 

"I'm not going back to sleep though." Sora told her quietly, opening his eyes a little more so he could see her better.

 

"You're sure?" Kairi asked. Truth be told, she was scared that if he went back asleep, he might not wake up again.

 

Sora nodded a little. "I think I've caught up on my sleep already." He said with a weak smile. "How long was I out, anyway?"

 

"Almost two days," she said. Kairi was thankful it hadn't been any longer than that. She heard of comas lasting for years before, and she was grateful that Sora hadn't turned out that way.

 

"Wow." Sora breathed. He had no idea that he had been out that long.

 

Kairi nodded and glanced away at the floor. "Do you remember anything? Like how you woke up?" she asked, turning her attention back to him, her eyes meeting his.

 

Sora shut his eyes and tried to remember. "A lot of things were going on...I don't know where to begin..." He said softly. He looked up at her with a small smile. "I heard your voice though."

 

Her lips formed a soft, happy smile that she offered him.

 

Sora kept his eyes open a crack and spoke again. "It's like I was myself, in my own body, but I was surrounded by darkness." He said softly, not looking at her. "I could hear your voice, but I couldn't see anything."

 

"What do you think it was, where you were?" she asked, tilting her head in concern. Could it have been his heart? Or the depths of his mind?

 

Sora sighed a little. "I'm not sure. Maybe my mind?"

 

"Maybe..." Kairi said. That's what she was thinking, but she didn't know for sure.
