KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora opened his eyes and then immediatly closed them again when he was blinded by the white light that was coming from the charm. He gasped and defensively put his arm up against his closed eyes.

 

Kairi smiled when she pictured him doing his happy dance a few days ago for her. He was silly. A new picture flashed in her mind; one of Sora laughing and smiling. Kairi giggled. Those days were the best. Maybe he'd laugh like that again someday, when all traces of this stress and trouble left him.

 

Sora opened his eyes again and gasped when he saw that everything around him was white. Except for little black spots all over the white floor. Wait...they were moving. And things were crawling up. He gasped. Heartless?!

 

Kairi's smile faded when she felt something deep within her heart. What? What was going on? Whatever she was feeling, it wasn't right. It felt...strange. It was something she couldn't remember having before. What was it though? Kairi thought over it for a minute, and her eyes automatically found Sora's face. Their hearts were connected; something must've been wrong.

 

Sora looked down at the charm in his hand as the shadows continued to rise up from the ground. "Oathkeeper, oathkeeper." He muttered as he fingered the charm. In a flash of white light, the keyblade appeared in his hand. He smiled and lunged at the shadows.

 

Kairi studied Sora's face to see if she could find a trace of discomfort. But there was nothing; the only expression was one that was blank, resembling nothing. But the feeling in her heart wasn't going away. It hurt her a little, but she closed her eyes and focused on the light within.

 

Sora swung oathkeeper and knocked out several heartless in one blow. He spun around quickly and knocked out another that was about to leap on him. He realized what was going on quickly: the darkness in his heart was attacking him as his light got stronger. That only made him more determined though as he continued to knock away the darkness.

 

"'Believe in the light and the darkness will never defeat you,'" Kairi said softly, her eyes closed as she spoke out her grandmother's words. "'Your heart will shine with its power and push the darkness away'..." Kairi focused on her heart and the heavy feeling it suddenly contained. She repeated her grandmother's words in her mind. She was sure that if anyone had walked in they would have heard her words, but only those that had fought the Darkness would realize what she was talking about. If Sora really was in trouble and could hear her, she hoped that her words reached him and he would understand. Kairi furrowed her brows as she kept her eyelids shut, trying to determine exactly what was going on.​

 

Sora jumped back away fromt he battle and point his keyblade towards the sky. "Light!" He yelled confidently. A bright white light suddenly blinded him. He held Oathkeeper at his side in one hand and covered his eyes with the other.

 

Kairi opened her eyes when the weight suddenly lifted and vanished. There was sudden warmth in its place. Was it temporary, the weight taking over again soon? What was it anyway? Darkness? No, it couldn't be; she was a Princess of Heart. Her heart contained pure Light. Kairi knew that was how it was going to stay and she closed her eyes again, a soft sigh coming from her.

 

Sora opened his eyes and moved his arm away. Everything was white again, and the heartless were completely gone. There was something new though: there was a white wall in front of him, with a keyhole on it. He rolled his eyes. Why did everything have to have a keyblade? He shrugged and aimed Oathkeeper at it.

 

No, this was different. Something told Kairi that something was going on, and it was different somehow. She opened her eyes and looked at Sora. Was Sora experiencing something during his coma? Kairi pondered over it. Possibly. His heart is connected with mine, and that could be what I'm feeling right now. But why?

 

A white light shot out of the tip of the keyblade and into the keyhole. Sora heard the sound of something unlocking. Then a white light blinded him again and the scene around him began to change.

 

Kairi studied his features. His face still expressed nothing; no change, just...blank. However, the color was slowly returning to his skin and she smiled slightly. He was getting closer. "Come on, Sora..."

 

Sora opened his eyes a crack and then shut them as the light of the room flood to his vision. He blinked several more times as he tried to open his eyes fully. When he had finally adjusted, he finally saw what he had been dying to see for so long. Kairi.

 

Kairi's eyes met the ocean-blue she'd been wishing to see for the longest time. A smile made its way across her lips, and the joy and relief reached her eyes. "Sora..."

 

He smiled at her weakly. "Kairi." He tried to lift his head so he could see her better, but he immediatly felt dizzy. He let his head fall back into the pillows.

 

Her eyes started to well up in tears, but she couldn't stop it. Kairi squeezed his hand, relieved and happy to finally hear his voice. Her smile remained on her lips as his face started to blur in her vision.

 

He shut his eyes and squeezed her hand back. He smiled warmly.

 

Kairi blinked, a tear streaming down her cheek instantly. "I told you I wouldn't leave," she said softly, reminding him of her promise. She was sure he already knew though. But she couldn't hold it back.
