KH- Fast Food Madness!

"Get some sleep, Kairi." Sora said aloud. "I'm going to do some exploring." He held the charm out in front of him and began to walk.

 

Kairi sighed and looked away from the window to the clock. It was later than she thought. With a glance at Sora, she laid her head down on the side of the bed by his side, still holding his hand with one of hers. She closed her eyes and let out one last sigh before falling asleep.

 

Sora was glad when he heard Kairi's tired sigh. He knew that she had fallen asleep. She needed rest. Sora yawned himself and sat down on the ground again. "I'll just rest for a minute..." he mumbled as he shut his eyes and fell asleep.

OOC: Time gap? You know what, I'm going to assume you'll say yes xD

**24 Hours Later**

Sora's health hadn't improved much, in fact, his heart rate had slow down a tad. He did, however, have a little more color in his face.

Kairi groaned quietly as the sounds of the hospital entered her ears, making her wake from her sleep. She opened her eyes a tad, squinting out at the room. The clock was within her sight, and it was night time. She arched a brow. That couldn't be right; she'd just fallen asleep. How was it still night? Kairi leaned up and felt weight on her hand. Sora's hand was still in hers, which caused her to smile slightly. But that smile vanished when she realized that he was still in a coma. Kairi tightened her grip around his hand slightly and looked back out the window.

 

The doctor entered the room with a kind smile. "You've been out for a while." He told Kairi. He walked up to the end of the bed and checked Sora's monitors, blood pressure and heartrate.

 

It was a different day? Kairi rubbed her eye with her free hand and looked at the doctor. "How's he doing?"

 

He shook his head a little. "His heart rate has slowed down a little in the past 12 hours." He took a bag filled with a red liquid out of his right hand. "It's possible that the blood loss is causing this, so we're going to give him some more blood." He began to tie it up to one of the poles and hook it up to Sora.

 

Kairi looked away in both sadness and because of the blood. It hurt her to hear that, but it was reality. She had to be strong and stick it out. She had to, for herself and for Sora.

 

The doctor hooked up the blood with a tube and stuck the needle into Sora's arm. He looked at Kairi kindly. "There is good news too." He pointed at Sora's cheeks. "He has a little more color than he did yesterday."

 

Without hesitating and ignoring her disgust with the blood, Kairi turned her head to face him. Her eyes fell on Sora's face and she then noticed that the doctor was right. Sora's cheeks had a little more of a tint to them. "Does that mean anything regarding him waking up?" she asked. Maybe he was getting better..

 

The man gave her a small smile and a nod. "He's getting closer now."

 

Kairi smiled. "That's good to hear." She put her other hand over Sora's.

 

The doctor nodded again and smiled at her. "I'll be back to check on him later." He promised as he left the room.

 

"Thanks," she said before he left. Kairi had a hint of a smile on her lips as she reached forward and brushed one of Sora's spikes out of his eyes. He'd make it, she knew he would.

 

Sora's steps began to drag as he became more tired. He had been walking around for hours, but nothing had changed. The charm had gotten a little brighter, and now he could see a few feet in front of him. But there was nothing to see. He sat down and sighed, taking a break from his search.

 

"Sora, if you can hear me, I want you to know that I'm still here," Kairi said softly. "You'll make it. And while you're here, I'll still be rooting for you, okay? Never forget that."

 

Sora perked up at the sound of Kairi's voice. He tiredly rose to his feet again. As long as she was there, he would keep going. He was getting closer to being free; he could feel it.

 

Kairi smiled slightly and then looked out the window again. He'd be okay. She wouldn't think anything different; her heart wouldn't allow her to do that, and she would never think of it.

 

Sora looked down and stared at the charm. Of course! How could he have been so blind? His light was right in front of him. He shut his eyes and took a deep breath, focusing on the charm.

 

Kairi bounced her knee up and down, looking around the room fully for the first time. It was similar to hers, but what hospital room wasn't? She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, flitting her eyes back over to Sora's closed ones. She hoped to see those ocean-blue eyes she loved soon.
