KH- Fast Food Madness!

Axel turned and looked at the clock. It was getting late. He already noticed how exhausted Kairi looked.

 

Roxas turned around after gazing out at the night sky. "It's starting to get late. We better get going."

Kairi shook her head. "I'm not leaving him."

 

"Please don't stay up all night," Sora plead with Kairi, really wishing she could hear him. He didn't want her getting sick again.

 

"You're sure?" Roxas asked, tilting his head.

Kairi nodded.

Roxas smiled with a nod. "Alright. I need to go home and clean up and get some rest. I'll be back in the morning, okay?"

Kairi nodded again. "Alright."

 

Axel silently waved goodnight to his friends and walked out. He hated not being able to portal since there were so many police around. Oh well, he'd have to get used to it.

 

When Roxas left the room, Kairi turned back to the bed. At least he was getting enough rest now, she thought.

 

Sora's mood suddenly got darker. He was trapped inside his mind. He couldn't see Kairi or any of his friends. He couldn't move. This was horrible.

 

Kairi examined Sora's face; blank, but with a hint of hurt expressed over his features. She brought her hand to his cheek and leaned forward, kissing his forehead. "I told you I wouldn't leave," Kairi said softly, stroking his cheek with her thumb. Of course she wanted him to wake up, but she'd wait until he was ready, like the doctor said.

 

Sora heard Kairi and he began to cry again. He was so sad that he couldn't do anything to make her happy. And he was also crying because he was glad she was there. But of course, she had no way of knowing what he was going through at that moment.

 

Kairi's features changed to sadness and shock when she saw a tear trickle down Sora's face. "Sora..." she spoke softly. The girl wiped it away sadly. Why was he crying? She didn't want him to be sad...

 

Sora shook his head and wiped away his tears. They continued to flow anyway.

 

Kairi fit her hand more comfortably in his and stared at their hands together, biting her lip.

 

"I'm sorry!" He cried out as he made his tears cease. He was so upset he couldn't do anything. He didn't know that he was crying on the outside until Kairi had acted like he was. And now that he knew, he felt even worse.

Kairi stared at his hand in hers, continuing to bite her lip. When her vision suddenly started to blur, she shook her head and looked at the floor, making a sound of disgust. One tear slid down her cheek and the next thing she knew, she was sucking in a shaky breath. Kairi was crying, her lip quivering, making her squeeze Sora's hand.

OOC: Alright.

 

Sora sighed and composed himself. He had to fight back. Kairi had told him to find his light; that's what he would have to do.

 

Kairi bit her lip hard, trying to stop. Sora wouldn't want to hear that. She bit down harder, forcing it this time, and winced when she cut the skin. She tasted acid in her mouth; blood. She'd done it again, just like when she was in her hospital bed and her doctor had checked on her. Kairi looked up, feeling the wetness on her cheeks. She'd be strong for Sora.

 

Sora looked around, but everything was still pitch black. How was he supposed to find his light?

 

"Even in the deepest darkness, there will always be a light to guide you," Kairi whispered, repeating her grandmother's words. They were true, which was why she had to pull through.

 

Sora reached into his pocket and pulled out an object. He fingered it gently. It was Kairi's lucky charm. He smiled a little. He gasped when the charm began to faintly glow.

 

Kairi slowly rubbed her thumb against Sora's hand as she gazed out the window. They'd be able to go back out soon. The thought brightened her mood a little.
