KH- Fast Food Madness!

Sora shut his eyes and took a deep breath. How could he possibly get out, when he had no idea where exactly he was?

 

Kairi lowered her head as she stared at the floor. Sora'd find his way out of this. He was the strongest person she knew.

 

"Please don't stop talking, Kairi." Sora plead, his voice ringing through the silence. He knew she couldn't hear him, but he had to say something.

 

Kairi thought back to when she had her sleep paralysis. It was kind of like Sora's coma, but she was "awake." She smiled slightly, raising her head. "I'm sorry that I don't have a happy dance of my own for you, Sora. I'm sure I can think of something though."

 

"Just being able to see you would be nice." Sora told her. He smiled a little.

 

Kairi bit her lip, her smile vanishing. She closed her eyes and sighed quietly. She knew she had to be patient, but she was so worried about him. She want to hear him say that he was okay; the doctor's words just weren't enough.

 

Sora stained his ears to hear more, but he only heard silence. He waited for Kairi to speak again.

 

"I know you're trying," Kairi said softly. She lifted her head and looked at his face. "But just one sign that you're alright would calm my nerves." Kairi hated asking him to do that, but she needed to know. Just one sign, and then she'd relax a little more.

 

A sign? Sora didn't even know if he could move his body! He couldn't feel any of his muscles at all. He sighed and shut his eyes in concentration. He had to try. For Kairi.

 

"But if you can't," she added quickly, "I understand. I'll wait, just like what you did with me."

Roxas turned his attention to the window. He walked over and sat down, looking out at the city.

 

Sora shook his head. He had to try. He shut his eyes tighter. "Just one finger..." He muttered to himself. "Come on..."

 

Kairi smiled faintly at him, but knowing that he couldn't see it, she looked away. The girl stared her hand in his, automatically giving it a light squeeze. He'd hang in there, and so would she.

 

Sora continued to concentrate, but after a few moments of nothing happening, he gave up. He sighed and let his body drop into a sitting position. He hadn't been able to do anything.

Sora's finger twitched slightly.

 

Kairi jumped slightly at the movement. She smiled. "You did it," she said softly.

 

"I did?!" Sora questioned. How did he do that?!

 

Kairi gleamed. He was okay; he wasn't suffering as much as she thought. And he could hear her. The girl put her other hand over Sora's hand and held his between hers. "Thank you..." she whispered.

 

Sora let out a breath and smiled a little. He shut his eyes a little. He was tired.

 

Kairi looked around her for the first time in a few minutes. She smiled slightly at Axel and saw Roxas staring out the window. He was free to go now, he didn't have to stay.

 

Axel smiled kindly at Kairi. He gently point out the fact that Kairi's face was wet with tears.

 

Kairi blinked. She released one of her hands and brought it to her face. Her face was wet from her tears. The girl wiped her eyes; she hadn't noticed that she'd been crying.
