KH- Fast Food Madness!

Kairi's jaw dropped and her eyes automatically flitted to Sora. Her heart sank and her eyes welled up in tears, Sora's sleeping face blurring in her vision.

Roxas's eyes widened. "You've got to be kidding...No way..."

 

The doctor shook his head sadly. "I'm very sorry."

 

Roxas looked down at Sora and then at Kairi. He noticed her lip quivering. He flitted his eyes back up to the doctor. "Can you give us an estimate on when he'll wake up?" He didn't care if he most likely didn't have an answer. It was worth a try.

 

"I can't say for sure..." He said slowly. "People in comas wake up when they want to. Speaking to Sora would probably help."

 

Kairi didn't hesitate. She leaned foward. "Sora? Sora...it's me. It's Kairi." A tear was on the corner of her eye.

Roxas tightened his fists at the news and watched.

 

The doctor offered a small smile. "He should come out of it eventually. He has a very strong heart." He turned away. "I'll be back later to check on him." He said as he exit the room.

 

Kairi swallowed, trying to hide the shakiness of her voice. Sora didn't want to hear that. "We've been given some good news. You're not wanted after all, Sora. It was a misunderstanding; you're free to do as you please now." She smiled slightly at the thought, his laugh ringing in her ears. "But I won't leave you; I'll stay until you wake up." She stroked his hand with her thumb sadly. "No matter how long it takes...I'll be here."

 

Sora stood in the middle of nothingness. He heard everything Kairi had to say, but he couldn't see her. He couldn't understand why. He was afriad.

 

Roxas watched as she continued.

"You can rest peacefully now, and wake up when you're ready." She looked at Axel and Roxas. "We'll all be here." She looked back down. "I know you have a strong heart, and that you'll defeat this. Just remember your Light."

 

Sora didn't understand. Why was everything black? Where was he? Why couldn't he see Kairi? What was she talking about?

 

OOC: Can I get a recap, please?

 

"Like my grandmother said to me as a girl, 'Even in the purest darkness, there will always be light.'" Kairi smiled slightly at the thought of her grandmother and her words. "If you find yours, I'm sure you'll wake from you coma. We'll be waiting, okay? There's no rush."

 

A coma?! Of course, it all made sense now. He was trapped inside his own mind. He bit his lip.

OOC: Kairi's pretty much better. The fake doctor escaped and came to the hospital and stabbed Sora. Sora faught back and nearly choked him to death. Now, the criminal confessed to the murder of the original robber (which the police wanted Sora for). Now the police only want Sora for his side of the story. But because of all the physical trauma, Sora's now in a coma.

 

Kairi squeezed his hand. "I love you, Sora..." She looked down sadly. She hoped he would wake up soon.

Roxas listened intently and smiled slightly. For some reason, though, he felt like he was intruding...

OOC: I have to go. I'll be back after school tomorrow.

 

A tear slid down Sora's cheek.

OOC: Alright, bye.

 

Roxas jerked his head back slightly in surprise, a small gasp escaping him. "Kairi, look..." he said.

Kairi lifted her head to look at him and then followed his gaze. Her heart sank and her face saddened. "Sora..." She reached forward and wiped the tear away.

 

Axel was also surprised when he saw a tear slide down Sora's cheek. He wished he knew what was going on in Sora's head.

 

"Don't cry...okay?" Kairi rubbed her thumb against his cheek lightly. If he cried it'd make her feel even worse.

 

Sora mentally nodded. He had to stay strong. He had to find a way to fight out of this box he was trapped inside.

 

Kairi dropped her hand back to her lap. He'd be okay. She just had to wait it out.
