After many arguments with her doctor about not lying back down in a bed because of her own injuries (and once taking physical action by pulling her arm away from the man's grasp), Kairi now sat beside the one she loved as he slept in his bed. It broke her heart to see him in the hospital again. And with the police being nearby and examining the scene of the crime that was done, she felt a little uneasy and cautious. Kairi was literally on the edge of her seat as she held Sora's hand in her own.

 

Axel walked into the room. "Where's Roxas?" He asked Kairi.

 

Kairi turned her head. "He's in the bathroom. He'll be back in a second..." She turned her head back around and looked at Sora's calm but also painful looking face. Even in his sleep he looked like he was suffering. This made Kairi's eyes soften and sadden.

 

Axel nodded and silently sat down in a chair next to Kairi. He had news to tell the both of them.

 

Roxas opened the door and shut it quietly, walking into the room and nodding at Axel in greeting.

Kairi didn't move when she heard the door. Her eyes were focused on Sora.

 

Axel nodded and rose to his feet. "I just got done talking to the police." He said softly. "They want to talk to Sora when he wakes up."

 

Kairi blinked and looked over sharply. "What?"

 

A police officer entered the room and kindly nodded to the three friends. He walked over by the end of the bed and looked at Kairi and Roxas. "Do you two know why we were looking for Sora?" He had a gentle, kind voice.

 

Roxas tensed slightly, cautious. He shook his head.

Kairi squeezed Sora's hand tighter. "No, we don't." His voice was kind and gentle, but she knew better than to make assumptions at first glance.

 

"We thought that he had murdered the robber who had attacked the McDonalds." He said gently. "But the man that just attacked Sora confessed to the crime and practically begged to be taken to jail." He had a odd look on his face.

 

Kairi narrowed her eyes. "What?" she asked softly in disbelief.

Roxas arched an eyebrow.

 

The officer shrugged. "I'm not sure why, but now that he confessed, the only thing we want to talk to Sora about is his side of the story." His face softened. "He's not in trouble, we just want to know what happened." He offered a small smile.

 

Roxas rubbed the back of his head and turned to Kairi. "After all this trouble..." He shook his head.

Kairi couldn't believe this. After all of that running... "...we're not wanted," she finished for him. Sora went though all of that pain for nothing. He wasn't wanted; he wasn't in trouble. Kairi looked back at him and put her other hand over his.

 

The officer felt the weight of the heavy sorrow over the room. "The doctor will be in shortly to give you an update on his condition." He said softly as he walked out of the room. He didn't have the heart to tell them that Sora had fallen into a coma because of all the trauma.

 

"Thank you," she said softly before he left the room. Kairi wanted Sora to wake up so she could tell him the news.

OOC: Omg, that made me sad, the last sentence. =( So, do you want to take on the role of the doctor? You're the one that "knows the condition" and could explain it better than I could.

 

OOC: I'll control a different doctor, I won't take yours.

The doctor opened the door and quietly walked in, carrying a clipboard in his right hand. He walked up to the end of the bed and looked at Sora. Then he glanced at Kairi and Roxas sadly.

 

Kairi's heart started beating faster as nervousness took over at his expression. "W-What is it?" she stuttered.

Roxas bawled his hands into fists instinctively as he concentrated on the doctor.

 

The doctor looked at Sora as he spoke. "You're friend has gone through some serious physical trama." He said softly. "Because of all the injuries and trauma, he's fallen into a coma."
