KH- Fast Food Madness!

The doctor opened the door and walked in.

Kairi bit her lip harder to stop the tears when she noticed the doctor walking in.

"Your friend found me and asked me to check on you. Are you feeling alright, Kairi?" The doctor approached her.

Kairi shook her head as she kept her eyes closed.

"Let me take a look."

Kairi winced, biting her lip harder as she sat up. As the doctor examined her head, she tasted acid in her mouth. Her own blood, she knew it. She'd bitten her lip too hard.

 

Axel turned around and silently gave Luxord a dirty look.

Sora leaned against the wall and watched the doctor and Kairi without blinking. He hated seeing her sick. He wished that it was him in that bed instead of her.

 

Luxord chuckled. "I'm going over their and destroyin' stuff. Want to help?" Luxord asked.

 

Kairi let out a short cry of pain when the doctor touched a spot on her head.

"Tender?"

Kairi nodded.

The doctor leaned back. "Alright, Kairi. You can lie back down."

Kairi did so slowly and felt the tears starting to form from the pain.

"It seems that you may have muscle tension, which is causing the tenderness," the doctor said.

"But the pain's getting worse. That can't be it." Kairi swallowed to force the tears back.

 

"Do it and die." Axel told Luxord, not looking at him.

Sora looked down at the floor and bit his lip. He hated this. He wanted to hug Kairi and tell her that everything would be alright, but he couldn't.

 

"Oh! Are gunna fight?" Luxord asked Axel, "I may not have my powers, but I do have a cell phone. Look here, Chuck Norris is in my Fav Fives!" Luxord said holding up his cell phone.

 

The doctor shook his head. "I don't know what else it could be. You may just being having side effects from when you fell." He wrote something on his clipboard. "I'll have a nurse come in and give you some more medicine. It should stop the pain."

Kairi nodded and watched as he left the room. She brought a finger to her lip and then looked at it, noticing the blood on the tip of her finger. She'd been biting her lip too hard. The girl closed her eyes and felt a tear trickle down her cheek. She hated this mess.

 

Axel shook his head and closed his eyes as he sighed. He couldn't believe he had gotten stuck with him. Maybe he should go check on how the others were doing...then he could get away from the weirdo.

Sora looked down at the floor, feeling pretty queezy. He couldn't take the medicine right there, though. He needed to focus on Kairi. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and closed his eyes.

 

Kairi didn't even look at Sora, knowing he was still in the room. "If you want to go get some air, you can. I'll be fine." She wasn't going to let her accident keep him in the hospital room. Roxas had been gone for a while and she could understand if Sora needed a breather.

 

Sora shook his head, keeping his eyes closed. "No. I'm staying."

 

OOC: I've been waiting to use a line like that. xD

"Well I am going now." Luxord said as he walked out the door and headed to McDonalds.

 

Kairi turned her head to him. "You don't need to be kept prisoner too. Go walk around and take a breather for a few minutes. Roxas needed some air, and he didn't seem to mind." After all, Kairi knew that Roxas knew that she wouldn't want to keep him locked up in the room. She didn't want the same for Sora either.

 

Axel sighed. "Don't do anything stupid." He said, annoyed. If he vandalized McDonalds, he would burn him to a crisp. Besides, the guy was starting to annoy him.

"I want to be here." He clarified, opening his eyes a little as he looked towards the floor.

 

Kairi turned her head to stare at the ceiling above her. Somehow...she knew she wasn't going to win against him. She didn't say anything more, trying to focus on blocking the sharp throbbing in her head.

 

Sora sighed quietly. Where was the nurse?

 

Kairi gripped her bed sheet with her hand when a really sharp pain struck her head. Where was the--

The door opened and a woman walked inside. "Hey, hon. I'm here to give you your medicine."

Kairi nodded slowly as the nurse approached her.

The nurse took out a needle and filled it with Kairi's medicine. She gently turned Kairi's arm over. "This may sting, okay?"

Kairi turned her head away when the nurse stuck the needle in her arm. She sucked in a breath in pain as the fluid entered her body. The nurse was wrong; it wasn't a sting--it was a burn.

 

Sora turned his head away and shut his eyes. He REALLY hated needles, especially after he was stabbed in the chest with one by that "doctor". He grimaced at the horrible memory.

 

The nurse took out the needle. "All done, sweetie. The doctor will be back in a little bit to check and see how you're doing."

Kairi nodded weakly. "Okay." She watched the nurse leave the room and she closed her eyes tightly. Whatever the nurse gave her, she could feel it in her veins and it was burning. She could feel it in her right arm the most, where she'd received her shot, and could feel it traveling throughout her body.

 

Sora nodded at the nurse as she left. He slowly walked back to his spot beside Kairi's bed.

 

Kairi felt the burn go up her neck to the back of her head. Now she didn't only have the throbbing pain, but she also had a burning sensation in her head. Her eyes squeezed closed tighter and she sucked in a breath, almost like a gasp from the pain. Were they trying to cause her more pain?
