KH- Fast Food Madness!

The doctor nodded and placed his pen behind his ear. "Alright. That's all I needed to know. I'll be back in a few moments with your medicine." He walked away.

 

Sora sighed quietly and sat back down. He hoped that everything was going to be alright, and that he didn't give the doctor too much information.

 

Kairi felt her eyes get heavy again. She didn't want to go to sleep.

Roxas sighed and shook his head tiredly. He sat down on a chair in the room.

 

Sora put his head in his hands and looked down at the floor. He hoped the doctor would be back soon.

 

Kairi rubbed her eyes and stared back up at the ceiling.

The doctor rounded the corner and walked toward Sora, his medicine in hand.

 

Sora looked up at the sound of footsteps. He rose to his feet again and looked at the doctor.

 

The doctor stopped in front of the boy. "Here's your prescription. It will help decrease the chances of your symptoms like vomiting, nausea, or weakness. Now you only take two pills every 8 hours. Do not take any more than that, or else it could be hazardous. Alright?" He handed Sora the medicine.

 

Sora nodded. 2 pills every 8 hours. He'd have to remember that. "Thanks," he said, grateful.

 

The doctor nodded. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to check on your friend." He stepped by Sora and opened the door.

 

Sora opened up the bottle and poured two pills into his hand. He tilt his head back and swallowed the pills. He stuffed the bottle into his pocket and followed the doctor into Kairi's room.

 

Kairi looked over at the door.

"Hello, Kairi. How're you feeling?" the doctor asked.

"Tired," she said.

"Well," he started, "after your surgery you were given drugs that made you sleep while you recovered." He glanced at his clipboard and then looked at her. "You're not fully recovered yet, so that medicine may still have an effect."

"But I don't want to go back to sleep. What if the paralysis comes back again?"

The doctor shook his head. "It shouldn't. It only occurs when you don't have enough rest. Have you been lacking sleep recently?"

 

Sora walked in past the doctor, having heard the whole conversation. He looked at Kairi and saw how afriad she looked. He offered her a small smile as he approached her bedside.

 

Kairi swallowed and then glanced at Sora, smiling slightly. "Um...yeah, a little."

"You should recover soon enough. If you feel tired, don't try and keep yourself awake, okay? Your body needs the rest."

She nodded.

He smiled slightly and started for the door. "I'll be back to check on you soon." He walked out of the room.

Kairi sighed and looked over at Sora, biting her lip. She was scared.

OOC: I have to go. I'll be back later on today.

 

Sora sat down beside the bed and put his hand on hers. "It'll be alright," he said softly, looking her in the eye as he stroked her hand with his thumb. "You need to sleep."

OOC: Okay, bye!

 

Kairi nodded. "I know..." God, how she hated hospitals.

Roxas looked out the window, minding his own business.

 

He smiled at her. "Nothing bad is going to happen." He promised.

 

Kairi smiled slightly as she squeezed his hand, but it disappeared just as quickly as it came. She leaned her head back and sighed. The doctor said to let her body do what it wanted. Kairi just couldn't make herself leave the hospital room and escape into her dreams. She was afraid of being paralyzed again...and she didn't want to leave Sora. She stared up at the ceiling, her eyes becoming heavier. "I don't want it to happen again," Kairi said quietly, her eyes closing slightly as her body started going into unconciousness.

 

Sora squeezed her hand, trying to reassure her. "It won't." He promised her.

 

Kairi looked over at him drowsily. "You promise?" She was about to leave conciousness, and a promise was the last thing she wanted from him before she went under.

 

He nodded. "I promise." He offered her a small smile.
