KH - Fast Food Madness! V2

Roxas looked at her and nodded. "Be careful," he said.

 

Namine turned around at the door, smiling softly. "I will," she promised before putting her hand on the doorknob and quietly exiting the room.

 

Roxas smiled softly back until she was out of his sight. Then he sighed softly, staring down at his feet.

 

Namine walked through the halls, smiling but feeling guilty at the same time. She shouldn't be so relieved; now Sora was by himself.

Sora blinked once and continued to gaze at the ceiling, not moving. He had been awake the whole time, so he had heard what was going on.

 

Roxas turned his head and looked at Sora again, and then slowly made his way over to him.

 

Namine walked out of the elevator and on the first floor now, making her way toward the entrance.

Sora could tell that Roxas kept looking at him, but he didn't really have anything to say. Of course he was happy for his friend, but he knew what that meant for him. Earlier he had thought he was all alone, and now he really would be. Still though, that was better. Roxas deserved to get out of this place.

 

Roxas stopped moving and looked down at Sora. "Are you going to be all right?" he asked softly. He felt really uneasy with leaving him here alone. Him and Namine would be gone, and Kairi was sick.

 

Sora nodded, keeping his eyes looking at the ceiling. "Yeah."

 

Roxas kept his eyes on him. "Are you sure? I don't feel right about this," he admitted.

 

"You shouldn't feel bad," Sora said, turning his head and finally looking at Roxas. "I've been alone before, I can do it again. No big deal."

 

Roxas looked at him for a second. Then he nodded once. "If you're sure," he said. "But I'll leave my phone with you so you can call if you want, all right?" It was the least he could do. If Sora was bored and lonely, which he was sure he would be, he could call Roxas or Namine on Namine's phone, or he could even call Kairi to check up on her if he wanted. Sora was probably worried about her anyway.

 

Sora looked at his friend sadly and shook his head. "Thanks, but I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to use phones in here. I heard it messes with the equipment."

 

"But didn't you use yours before? Before Christmas?" Roxas asked. He remembered the call he'd gotten to pick up Kairi's gift.

 

"Yeah, but I found out when I left that you're not supposed to use phones." Sora explained. "There's a sign by the receptionist desk that says that they can't be used."

 

"Oh." Roxas nodded and then looked to the floor. If that was the case, then they'd have to visit in a few days.

 

"Don't worry about it, it'll be fine." Sora told Roxas, turning his gaze back to the ceiling.

 

Roxas nodded. Still, it didn't feel right. He and Sora were so close they were like brothers, so he was concerned. But he knew that Sora'd be okay, so he wasn't that worried.

 

Sora blinked. He refused to get lonely before his friend even left. He'd worry about his emotions later. For now, he just had to be strong.

 

Roxas shifted on his crutches as the silence hung in the air. He couldn't wait to get out of this hospital gown. He hoped Namine would be here soon.

OOC: Gotta go. See you later!

 

Namine climbed out of the cab after paying the driver, Roxas' clothing in a bag she held in her right hand. She shut the car door behind her and started toward the entrance.
