J-stars: Victory VS discussion

Maybe, I'm hoping for a final update or something from the developers on who to expect or something. Likewise I'm disapointed in Hisoka not being playable Hunter x Hunter still sells well and is really popular within japan even with the constant hiatus I've been praying for both Killua and Hisoka since last summer now I'll be pleased even if they add killua as a support at this point. Honestly Gon and Killua are barley ever apart so It'd feel weird to have Gon in the game without Killua.

and I'm surprised they haven't added many KHR characters either no supports. or anything as of yet.

Who do you intend to use the most?

I intend to use; Tsuna, Gon, Killua (if added to the game) maybe Kenshin or Joseph Joestar

as my support most likely Kumagawa misogi

 

Surely there will be more so that each series at least has a couple of characters. KHR, HxH and Saint Seiya are popular and only have 1 character.

I'll probably use Tsunayoshi, Pegasus and Gon, or Killua if he is indeed playable. Support will be Allen, Hisoka and Lala ;D

I also doubt this will get localized since there's some series that never got an English dub (HxH 2011) - I doubt they would source VAs just for this game. Though I suppose if it did get released, they could just do what they did with Project X Zone.

 

Nah, It won't get localized. If it had any chance at all, I'd wait for the english version hopefully having Jap voices available and to be honest 2011 didn't get a dub but 1999 did, though I doubt it would make a difference. KHR never got a dub at all, but to be honest I'd rather have a game like this in subbed text english with japan vocals, because some voices such as Tsuna's and reborn's I couldn't imagine being in english vocals.

There is speculation and people saying it WILL be avaliable on Japans psn to buy and download hopefully this is the case because it costs too much to buy the game itself along with paying import and shipping fees and so on.

I'm getting pretty agitated to be honest, I really want to play as more allies from some of the anime series along with wanting shaman king in it already. They will probably update it once more this month now and then early march then a final announcement before release I'm really hoping more playable characters come from KHR and HXH

and also we should be getting 14 more characters as of announcement; both playable and support characters, I have a certain few that will hopefully make the final cut but even if it doesn't happen i'll still be more than happy to buy the game. The next update on the character selection should be this Monday, they will be updating every Monday with 2 or 3 new characters now to the point of release.

 

I've been looking forward to this game for a long time now. It will probably be the first game I import from Japan seeing as it will most likely never come to the other regions cause Licensing is impossible with this sort of game. Either way, the controls and gameplay look similar to the new DBZ game that just came out recently. Not to mention it has some of the best characters known to anime.

Pretty much I'm looking forward to using Yusuke, Gon, Luffy, and Madara. Of course there are many other characters I will just be dying to use but those were the main 4.

Characters I wish to see are Yugi from obviously Yu-Gi-Oh as well as Killua of Hunter x Hunter. What surprised me is that Teach from One Piece isn't playable. Oh, also wanting Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho or even Kuabara would be nice. I'm not well aware of many of the smaller animes so I have no say in it. I just know the major overly popular ones.

 

Not many of us are really aware of the smaller ones; such as the korosensei or the taro yamada ones. Atleast to say I'm not familiar with them myself and realistically yes, unless you can buy it off their psn using a site that gives you a code for a japan psn via paying for it for card which is what me or a friend will be doing to get it for us this coming month. A lot of people are hoping for those 3 in particular, along with kenshiro who recently got announced. I've seen that many many people have wanted; Yoh Asakura, Yugi, Killua and hiei. which would be amazing additions to the roster but might have to be free dlc, hopefully they will be playable though unlike Allen who got stuck into support. Anyways yes, we have 14 characters left to be announced Hopefully we will be getting an update on the character roster tomorrow because last Wednesday we had Kenshiro and Raoh announced from fist of the northstar.

 

Update:

Issue 12 confirmed Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Arale Norimaki, Kusuo Saiki, and Luckyman as playable characters, with Shōyō Hinata as support.

I'm happy Arale finally made it as well, Arale has been a much wanted character for a while now though I honestly do not know anyone else in this list other than Arale STILL hoping on Killua to make an apperance even if it's support,

 

I know of Bobobo. He was a big comedy anime that came to NA around the early 2000s. Basically he fights using his mustache. He is pretty big for the Shonen characters. I expected him eventually, not entirely a fan though. I don't know the others however sad to say.

 

Boy, do you feel the hype resonating off me for this definitely Japanese only game that I'll never be able to acquire without some form of piracy?

Yay for non region lock... Its still Japanese though, and from what I've seen, the average price for the game is between $100-$150. The cost of great games that shall never move over seas is grand.

 

Well I don't plan to waste the money trying to Import it, Hopefully it will be a good enough price on PSN they say it should be around 7900 yen which converts to around $80 hopefully which is £35 or so

 

OKAY theres rumour surfaced about these new four characters being added to J-stars

As of yet they're not 100% confirmed to be added but they seem to have been confirmed by v-jump i'm really hoping that these guys are added especially Killua and Hiei but yes. Hopefully it will be confirmed on wednesday which char

YES! this was the final addition to the game guys and thank god my boys Hiei and Killua made it along with Ace i've loved Ace due to pirate warrior so i'm very happy now with the line up. Next month is gonna be brilliant!

 

I'm happy Ace, Hiei, and Killua made it in I'm just disappointed that Yugi/ Yami didn't. He's a huge part of Shonen history, I mean, it may have been difficult to give him a combat style, but its been done before. Even as a support he could have worked. Imagine him using a random card out of a preset deck. One card being say Negate Attack and another being Kuriboh. There is still the hope for DLC though right?

 

THERE IS! but the thing is I've been keeping up with J-stars for a while now announcement wise. the the thing is they released one announcement stating that there wouldn't be any "PAYED" DLC so that makes me skeptical that any DLC's they intend to release will become automaitcally support which hopefully will not happen there is a slight chance we'll get yoh and yugi as DLC though Yugi as a playable character would honestly be really hard to play as in all honesty because of the fact he's got so much he could use and how the producers start to limit that side of him off.

Aw yiss! Totally wasn't expecting an update but glad Killua has finally been confirmed. :'D

There's still a full month to go before this releases so I wonder who else will be revealed if any...

 

Sad to say but thats it! 52 characters were their maximum which is sad because there were only 2 characters who got left out who were a real necessity to make it which were Yugi and Yoh. but yeah as of now they've completed the roster I'm glad my boys Hiei and Killua made it though which is good enough for me. Ace is a bonus. Really unexpected until Akainu got added then I grew sort of hopeful of ace but still I didn't expect them to add him. Hopefully we will get DLC. DLC like i said won't be paid for it'll be free.

 

For One Piece though, I'm only just getting into the Saga before the 2 year jump and I only know of Luffy and Ace. It amazes me that Teach being Luffy's number one rival from one I can guess at and Zoro were not included, but instead two characters I know little of and haven't even been mentioned in the past 4 Sagas once. And One Piece getting 4 characters compared to everyone else seems a tad unfair in my opinion.
