Yes. I hate it because of the price, operating system, lack of support for a good operating system that uses the UNIX kernel, and the fact that Steve Jobs uses Macs as terminals to transmit signals to the mind control devices that he used the iPhone and its successors to implant in to people's brains.

 

I thought this thread was a safe place to talk about lifestyle choices, like what I do alone at 4 in the morning. Why so much arguing and hate?

It really is quite annoying.

People react the same way when I switched to Apple like I had committed treason or something. Seriously people, it's a computer. I like having to put the money I normally would spend on anti-virus to more important things like gas for my car, for groceries, for bills. I can still play games. I can still look at pornbrowse the internet. I can still purchase Adobe products like Photoshop. Macs were incidentally made for the Graphics Industry. Most of my Graphics courses used Macs exclusively, as this came during the time where Windows could just start operating on Apple computers.

It's not like we're planning to take over the world or anything. We're not signalling the Mother Ship to deploy the ships to destroy every major city on the world and then eradicate the remnants of human society. That would just be silly and the plot of an equally silly science fiction movie...where the aliens were destroyed by a virus from a computer geek with an Apple laptop. to think about.

It's just juvenile and annoying. Sort of like whenever the NextGen consoles come out and suddenly, wars over which is superior everywhere.

 

By all means, continue.

 

I like putting the money I normally would on an OS toward things like that too. You see, I didn't have to pay for my OS because it's both free and open source. And I can still do anything a Mac or Windows PC can do with a little bit of jiggering around with some software. Not only that, my computer cost less than a Mac, and I still have access to Windows if there's something that I can't get to work in Wine. You could say that I like my women like I like my Operating Systems. Open source.

And hey, you're not planning on taking over the world, but Steve Jobs is.
