I really hate my dad.

No you're not, I know how you feel. I doubt people are going to be understanding if they've never had that experience before.

My dad's actually a minister. Yeah soooo, when I lived with him, (got the hell out because I couldn't take it anymore), there was a time where I had cussed while playing Xbox live (Halo) and he literally grounded me for THREE YEARS.

No TV, no computer, no videogames, no going to friends, no anything for THREE YEARS. Because he felt I was an awful person and was bound to the devil.

Then when I finally got ungrounded, my grades were all A's beside one which was math (my worse subject) and he grounded me again for five months. I couldn't do anything, I couldn't even read books for pleasure. If I was going to read, I had to read the bible or something 100% educational.

Gah, it was awful.

No, he didn't beat me to death or leave me out on the streets to starve, but that doesn't mean it isn't bad to be *****ed at daily by a controlling, power-craze father.​

Wow, I had no idea. Your dad is like a 4.5 out of 5 on the crazy scale. My dad's like a 3. But yeah, I hope things are better with you and your dad now.
