I'm WAY into Persona, especially 1, 3, and 4, since they've all been fully localized. Did you get FES?

I got it yesterday so I'm not very far, I beat the first boss and got Akiheko (or however you spell it :-P) into my party. My current Persona is Archangel. I'm hanging out with two friends, Kenji Tomockika and Kazushi Miyamoto (lol

    No I didn't sadly :-(

Hello Persona fans. I'm a huge fan of Persona, myself, too.
Actually, not just persona but a lot of Shin Megami Tensei's titles. Such as Devil Summoner and Digital Devil Saga, though Persona is one of my favorites titles, I almost can't decise between Digital Devil Saga and Persona.

Already played Persona 3 FES and 4 in the True Ending. Don't you just love Persona? :3
Already watched Persona Trinity Soul (Anime), with one of the characters being Sanada Akihiko.

So, what do you guys think about the Persona summon? Like, I heard the in Persona 1 and 2, they summon theirs Persona normally, but in Persona 3, they have the Envoker, a gun which you use to Summon your Persona. In the Manga of Persona 3, they say that only the ones with the courage of win something they fear (such as the Death, in the case, is kill themselves with a gun in order to save someone) can have the Potential. In Persona 4, they break the Persona Card. This I get it as breaking the seal between "the imagination and matter" as Igor said.

Very interesting indeed, both ways. In the anime they just focus and make their Persona go out, and then they have to keep it in control.

Never played any of the games, but I like it.

    lol

But I have seen some walkthroughs. I think it's pretty interesting. Wish I could get my hands on one of the games. And if I do, I might need to get a new PS2 or PSP.....

They are kind of hard to find, but if you have an emulator should work good.

Persona 1 and 2 are for PS1 if you have.

    Also, a dumb question.
There is the P3P (Persona 3 Portable) in English? There is some time I didn't take a look into this, the videos I saw was like, in Japanese.

Of course it is! Also whats cool about P3P is that there's a Catherine cameo in it, if you go into the club you will see Vincent there :D

    *u*
*adding it to my PSP list, when I actually buy the PSP. This will be more likely, February.*

Hope there is here in Brazil.
I heard that when you play as a Girl, instead of Elizabeth, you have Theodoro as Velvet Room's resident.

Though I gonna play with Minato Arissato (MC's name in Manga).

No, its KIND of the same game as Persona 3 (hence why its called Persona 3 portable) with some new things added to it. But some things are dubbed down (due to limitations from the PSP) you can select if you want to play a boy or a girl (since the story is supposed to be about you, it didn't make sense why female players of the original had to play a guy)

    It's cool that you're playing Persona 3
But you should REALLY be playing Persona 3 Portable simply because of how much BETTER it is then P3 and P3FES
The sheer fact that you can CONTROL ALL YOUR PARTY MEMBERS should already make you want it.

Yeah, that does kind of make it annoying, but at least I hear they fixed that in P4, and plus I'm not playing my PSP much anymore so yeah :-I. Oh and also I actually have P3FES :-P sorry for the confusion.

Persona 3 did not leave my PS2 when I first got it. It is addictive, really. 'Course I got FES and my sister recently got Persona 3 Portable, and though a lot of people like the PSP version better I must disagree with them.

Never played 4 but I have heard from a friend whose played them all that it's storyline is nothing in comparison to 3, however it is still a lot of fun. Will like to check that out for myself one day, as I've got nothing but the anime to currently go off of.

But then, they turned the game into a radio show, where you can only hear what is going on, not see it.

I would much rather play FES personally, it's longer, it has better graphics and better scenes in general. Also a much more unique combat system. Yes, I am actually praising the combat system of P3/FES. While you can't exactly controll them, the command system is so presise and great that if you use it right, they will do exactly what you want. In P4 and P3P they are pretty dumbed down and much less unique.

The fact that you can play as a girl is cute, but that's about all there is to it, especially since the girl is not canon.

Also, Vincent is not in P3P, it's just a lookalike. Vincent does not have a mole.

Currently nearing about halfway through Persona 3FES and overall I love it a lot. The story is really gripping, and dem chaacters.

It is just so amazing to see how they're growing up little by little as they keep moving forward. While they can be depressing (all of them seem to be getting to REALLY DEPRESSING POINTS so far ;___;), you have a feeling there's hope for them yet.

Also, i really like the combat system, and like Excasr said, the symbolism of the Evoker in relationship to the Persona summoning is really interesting.

Overall, highly impressed and am recommending this to anyone who has yet to play it.

Loved this game so much I even bought the PSP version for long drives (While mother is diving too), dating-sim + summoning demons = kick ass, even bought Persona 4, sadly, my Persona days are on hold.

Do want Persona 4: The Golden overseas thought and Mayoaka Arena.

I'm so glad you got the FES version.
Now... do yourself a favour and once you complete it... get the Persona 3 Portable game for the PSP and play the story with the female Gender...
The replayability you get with FES is fantastic anyway... but I'm not kidding when I say that the option to choose your gender with P3P is an unbelievable but amazing difference to gameplay. (all different social links and everything. XD)

Also, you may be watching the animation, but I do make the solid recommendation that you get around to playing Persona 4 as well when you get the chance.

That's actually rather ambiguous. A large amount of her fanbase holds that she's canon because of some deal the protagonist made with Philemon to change something and prevent some events from happening. I don't think this is what Atlus intended though.

Irrespective, she does have her own continuity, which is canon in that it is official material presented to the audience by the writers of the game. It's an alternate continuity that exists within the Persona Multiverse which has been shown through Personas 1 and 2 to be only slightly more continuous than Final Fantasy. Personas 3 and 4 seem to be the only two in the series that take place in the same universe.

Ah yes. Persona have a great OST in my opinion.

Not just persona but all Shin Megami Tensei, mostly Persona. Such as Memories of You, Brand New Days, Never More, Mass Destruction, Pursuing my true self, burn my dread, Heartfull Cry, Memories of School... and from the anime, like Breaking through, Word of the Voice, Found me, Mellow Dream...

One of the best OST's I ever saw. No really...
