I need some idea's.

How can i convince my parents to let me get a kitty?

tell your parents that if you get a cat it'll annoy the neighboors they don't like MWAHAHAHA (don't do the evil laugh)

 

Use reverse psychology...

 

We have the livin' room door for that, keke.

I was thinkin' of tellin' 'em it'll help me learn responsibility for other livin' thin's...I need to be extreme here! My parents are tough to convince.

 

Tell them either they give you a kitty or you will have a baby

Use the, you need something to love excuse.​

 

Tell them it's your username on a kingdom hearts forum.

That's overkill. They'd have no choice but to get me one.

 

Try to ask to your parents, if they had a pet. If so, tell them, why they can have a pet and you not.
Or try to show them that you can care to a cat.
I used these methods to have my dog:D

 

My mother actually had a cat when she was my age. I was thinkin' of usin' that, somethin' like, 'Remember Tabatha? The cat that you LIED to me 'bout? Look at it this way. You got her when you were 'round 'bout my age. Didn't you gain some responsibility from raisin' her? You did a smashin' job raisin' 6 kids, n' i'm sure you learned some of that from that kitty! I love you...

Or would you prefer a grandchild from your second youngest before she is even married, huh?!'

Somethin' like that.

 

That's a pretty good reason - of course, you'll have to actually be responcible and take care of it if you get one. :3 I'm thinking that you may have to do all the work and get hold of the food etc if you're the only one who wants one. It might be easier if others in your household also wants one, and you could share with the tasks.

Just to ask - do you live in the city, or in the country? There's different types of cat pets, you have to watch out for them a lot more if you live in a place surrounded by traffic for example. It'd be wise to find out EVERYTHING you need to know about keeping a pet in your environment - if your parents see that you are really serious about raising one then it might just work! :3

Lol, that's part of the reason why i want one. I want to be responsible to take care of one. My wee brother wants a puppy, but that's a big no. He doesn't object to a kitty, though.

I live in a big city but just out in the suburb area, right next to some woods. The roads are still majorly busy, though. Aye, i would check into thin's 'bout cats if they agree. My mother is back on Wednesday. That gives me two days to hound him. keke

Simple,bring the kitty all wet and dirty and say you found it on the street and they'll let you keep it for a few days.

Maybe your parents will grow fond of it,it worked in my mom when my dad got me and my sister my cat :]

My wee brother n' i thought of this, but we can only picture our mum flushin' the poor wee thin' down the loo sayin, 'BACK DOWN TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL, FOUL DEMON!!!' =/

 

I said "Look, I have a steady job, I pay rent, you have a cat grandma, why can't I have one? I think its not right. If I dont get one you should get rid of yours too then, since I pay half of everything, and you pay half, we should be equal here. I'm not asking for a dog, I'm wanting a CAT. (then, two days later my aunt's cat had kittens) so I said "See, look at this, it's fate! (The kitten I took had it's eyes closed still and walked over to me and climbed up my leg to get to me, it was instant love XD)

 

Kitty, you've got the "I'm a teenager and i can take care of it" Card up your sleeve.
Think of past favours they owe you and you could play the "You didn't let me have the______ so can i have a kitty" card or....Get in there good books for the Week and then say "I've been working hard and i think i deserve it".

 

That is such a beautiful story...*wipes tear* It should be made into a Disney movie.
