The Junji Ito page has Soichi's son on it. The one from the haunted house story? It's right there, no attempt to hide it whatsoever.

And they list it as "a portrait of the artist as a young man." Ehh heh heh heh heh, very funny, THE GODDAMN HIGH OCTANE NIGHTMARE FUEL PAGE PICTURE ISN'T A FRACTION AS SCARY AS THAT, MY HEART JUST JUMPED THROUGH MY URETHRA YOU CLODS. Ragequit like twenty tabs goddamn it TVTropes

You mean the one that says "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man." under it? How is that scary? Gore usually is not enough for me to consider something scary.

 

No believe me I'm right there with ya. It's his face, man. That fucking face. ;_; Long rows of teeth and empty black mouths are some of my more fundamental fear triggers. That face hits the nail on the head for me. (No pun intended; you'd get it if you read the story).
