So yes, here I sit, my legs being all ****ed up from work today when I was thinking: Hey, this might just be a good time to do some writing, and of course I’m not gonna do my homework, that’s just for pussies, so I decided to rather write about something trivial. Huzzah! Also thanks to risk for being the most awesome person evur.

Here is a question I’ve asked myself quite a few times: Why do people whore themselves out so that people they don’t know and don’t care about will notice them? You know the situation, you have just gotten yourself a new… Let’s say a tumblr account for this example. What do you do now, do you pimp yourself out by showing link to all your acquaintances just because you want people’s attention or do you just send it to maybe your close friends and be happy with the little attention you get? Be happy living in the shadows if you want to put it that way. In the very most cases people would choose the former, for what purpose? Is it because it’s in our nature to want attention and to be accepted by the masses, even if those masses consist of people we do not know or might not even like?

The thing with being an attention whore however is this: You have to appease to the demands of these people you don’t even like or else they will simply lose interest in you. Do you enjoy doing this, is it fun to have to live up to the standards of other people? Do you really have that little self confidence that only by being “accepted†by others will you finally sleep well at night? The contrast to this are the people who are perfectly fine with being relatively unknown, those people are usually happy because the people they actually do know are their friends, and can therefore be themselves with said people. Attention whores are sad people.

I must say, but in my day we didnt have attention whores… oh my no, we never had such dastardly things, we had poor people, and we liked them!

Yes, you’d be trawling out and some poor person would just throw themself at you screaming, “ME WANTS ATTENTIONS†and then you would say “oh dear, what a pickle, i shall have to turn into a leprochaun nowâ€.

However, attention is just a form of showing love in a sense or just a way of making a dent in the world. People want to know they matter and that the world would be different without them. Some people have to do this in different ways to make them feel complete. The reason people want attention is so they can be loved ultimately, some people feel the need to go along with societies views on mankind and use things like their sexuality or good aspects of themselves. It's sad that some people do this but it's just their way of saying "I want more love!"

And I agree, people just want to be accepted and loved, but in the end all their doing is pretending, none of that is actually real. They're just the slaves of society. It's sad really how they can't come to terms with the fact that all you need is a few close friends and not many people who just know you.

 

Sometimes it's just not enough to satisfy, well what I mean is they THINK it's not enough. I agree it is sad but this world is crap, do whatever you can to be happy (unless it's hurts others).
