Apparently not anyone. In fact, I doubt a majority of the readers caught on. What we have here is a failure to communicate. A bad comedian telling bad jokes in complete deadpan and then blaming his audience for not laughing, to put it bluntly.

There is a difference between being annoyed with your sad attempt to protect a bad joke and being hateful. There is a name for people who instead of admitting their own failure to communicate, refuse to grow insecure, driving them to improve and assume that everyone else must be crazy not to recognize their genius. They were the ones who didn't get it, it wasn't your fault.

    They are called narcissists.

But then, I am possibly unduly annoyed. It just sounds like no matter what you do, when people hold you accountable, you blame them for not getting the joke. There are two possible outcomes to your bad joke: you are ignored, or you are taken seriously. If you are ignored, nothing happens. If you are taken seriously, you argue it further. When you lose the argument, you blame them for not catching onto the joke.

The fact is that it was never going to be funny in the first place. You were either going to be ignored or taken seriously. No one would have laughed but you and those you explicitly told that you were joking. There was no humor in what you said from the start.

Beat it yesterday actually. The game has quite a lot of flaws, but I really enjoyed the game, it was a great experience. Such a depressing story though.

I've heard it has some boring parts, but that's just my friend's opinion. Worth trying you think?

Oh Makaze, I could argue with you all day, but I will not get anywhere while you act like this, so I shall leave you alone.

I would say it is, if only because of the experience. Very unique. The complete version is also pretty cheap now, so there's that too.

Exactly what I mean. You present a bad argument; if ignored, leave it. If argued with, continue to argue. When you are backed into a corner, they didn't get the joke. When you are further backed into a corner, you try to play them off as antagonistic and say that is is not worth your time to keep trying.

This is how you have responded to any criticism.

Accuser: "I know you did it, here is the evidence, now acknowledge your crime!"
You: "You know, I don't have all day to argue about it, so I am just going to ignore you."

At no point have you admitted your own faults. I have not seen you admit a fault even once on this forum.

    It is very annoying.

The whole "it's a movie thing" comes from the fact that there is very little interaction required to play through the "game".
Every sequence comes down to "PRESS A BUTTON TO ADVANCE THE PLOT!" there's very little thought put into the sequences and you can essentially go through the entire game relying on twitch reflexes.

    tl;dr: It's an interactive movie

How strange, I don't remember ever being in a Phoenix Wright-esque courtroom. Weird that I don't remember it.

And naturally I am not going to admit my own flaws. It's pretty hard to admit to something that isn't there, as I am flawless.

Awful climax and awful ending, imo. It was a really good game though.

Over ever like one piece of evidence you really need with him and its in the pockets of the origami killer during the scuffle with him.

THAT was the worst part about the game, the fact the killer never changed, that would've made it a million times more replayable.

I do agree about the climax being awful, it's so odd to end with essentially a sewer level. However, I am kinda mixed on the ending. While I did not find it to be that good, and it was expected (still a really depressing way to end a story though), this game was very hard to make an ending for. I basically see two possibilites, the first one being the ending we got, or something similar to it, or just essentially not having an ending. Just having Cole solve a big case, then implying that he continued and end on that note. L.A Noire was really a story about Los Angeles in the fourties, just that the story was seen through Cole, so it is a really difficult story to write a good ending for.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect more from the climax and ending though.

I think the fact that he cheated on his wife made the ending so bad. I had no sympathy for him because he was supposed to be the white knight, fighting corruption, and then he goes and bangs some German club singer. If he didn't do that, the ending would have been better because you would have had sympathy for him. Like he would have died trying to fight corruption, and couldn't win. Instead, he turned out to be a scumbag himself and I felt no emotional loss, unlike with another Rockstar title I can think of. Won't say it just in case you haven't played it.
