    Heh, I have the same problem.

    EDIT: Finally! I got him!

    Believe it or not, you can dodge his freeze attack by using dodge roll with near perfect timing.

    I used some AR MAX and i beat him in like ten hits....all Ulitma Weapon cards and Oblivion cards.......Easy

    Try stacking up with 0 cards to break his sleights then attack him with sonic.

    Vexen's a *****. I just studied his attacks and I'm a natural at dodging his Freeze attack. I used Thundara, Thundaga, Fira, and Firaga, as well as multiple Sonic Blades and Acranums.

    Simple.

    i used letal flame thats how i everybody in the game it is stop,key,key and have like 8 test it it really works

    i remember going through the worlds leveling up sora's hp and cp. I put a couple of 0 cards in the front and end of deck, high number cards, and cure cards. I did fine after i went through the worlds once.

    there was a sleight mode that I found in twilight town that I use repeatedly to beat Vexen. I forgot the name, but it includes donald+fire+???=???

    see if turning invisible still works lol
    i havent played the re version but turning invisible is one of the cheapest ways to beat him in the original...
