The game came out in 2003 so it doesn't require a powerful PC at all. It's also out for the original Xbox and I believe will play on a 360, but yeah, you'll have to locate a copy.

...well, if it really needs less than a gig of RAM and takes up half a GIG on my hard drive...maybe.

And more funnies about the ending :D

At least KOTOR2 has the excuse of being rushed to release, ME3's ending is just disappointing. Which is jarring considering how awesome the rest of the game is.

So yeah, Mass Effect 3: Great Game, Disappointing Ending.

The thing is, I really believe in the Indoctrination theory and that they are planning to make DLC for a 'true ending' (stupid I KNOW). But I do believe it will happen.

Don't listen to Bioware when they say the Indoctrination is not real and no DLC is coming. Bioware said that were would be no Multiplayer, the leaked LI script was fake, and the one day DLC did not exist.

All were proven to be true hmmmm.

Honestly, I was really resistant to the Indoctrination Theory, but after having experienced all the endings...

it seems like the only somewhat logical explanation to how keeping the Reapers alive at all is considered Paragon somehow.

The biggest proof I think to the Indoctrination Theory is the "Destroy" ending with Shepard still alive. The area around him looks more like Earth than the Citadel thing, which is where Shepard was before the beam hits him, and Shepard's armor (in my opinion) doesn't look nearly as bad in the ending as it does when you play...which would mean he never left Earth and entered the Citadel...which would also mean nothing after Harbinger's beam hitting him actually happened.

Here's a pretty well edited video that I think explains it better than I can

The things that made me believe in it were:
    • Unlimited ammo
    • Dark wisps started to surround the screen when you talk to TIM
    • Someone says "No one made it to the beacon"
    • How could Shepard breathe with no air mask on when talking to the Catalyst?
    • How did the Catalyst know to take shape of the boy?
    • The whole dream sequences in general throughout the game fit the description of indoctrination.
If you want to take this further and give Bioware TONS of credit lets think of it like this:
The game itself was indoctrinating you, you were wrapped up in saving Earth so much you did not notice things like this.

Just curious, do you think the whole game after leaving Earth was a dream, or do you (like me) just believe that last part after Harbinger beams you up is the hallucination? And then you wake up after the Destroy ending for the "TRUE ENDING"

I just think after Harbinger blows you up is the hallucination. I would cry if the WHOLE GAME was a dream

ME TOO. SO MANY EPIC MOMENTS

I do wish though that we could at least get Grunt back on our squad (better than Cowman Vega). Seriously, it sucked to be teased with seeing every crew member introduced in 2 either die off or just become a war asset :\

When I first finished the game I liked the ending... then I realized if you picked destroy, you destroy all mass relay's, so that means all the fleets that came with you are stuck on earth and will most all eventually die out (so that means retaking Rannoch and curing the Genophage was pointless), since A)Dextro Amino Aliens will die without the food they need or B)No way Earth could sustain all those aliens.

Then the synthesis was basically agreeing with Saren
Then control was what TIM was trying to do
Why could there be a destroy reaper button with no repercussions?

Also wth was with the ending with Joker and the crew going through the mass relay? this is really ooc since Joker NEVER runs from a fight, and the majority of the crew followed you for years and there would be no way they would run from you now.

Along with how did he get there so soon. Look how far the Mass Relay is from Earth. And how did your squad get on the Normandy when they were clearly alongside you during the fight on Earth? And the Mass Relays are destroyed in I'm pretty sure every ending.

One thing that also really pissed me off was how Bioware pretty much recycled the same damn scene for all three endings, but changed the color of the beam that the Crucible fired...REALLY BIOWARE? After all that hard work, you're going to end it with pallet swaps?

Dunno if I posted this yet

Considering they were lazy enough to take a picture from google images and put it through photoshop and called it Tali's face, I'm pretty sure we can say they are that lazy.

    edit: Regarding Tali's face.

    Someone's been watching Jeremy Jahns.

He's gotten so much more famous over "ME3 ending and why we hate it' vid on Youtube.

Also (since now one is actually replying to the Mass Effect 3 thread) I'll comment on this:

See the thing about the indoctrination theory I don't get...

Is why is it that only the the Destroy ending has Shepherd coming back. If it was all Indoctrination after Harbinger hit then why does a Destroy Shep get a breath in? Technically they all should since he never made it on to the ship and would be dying on Earth according to the Indoctrination theory.

And why would they indoctrinate him to experience that vision in the first place, since he was already almost already dead in London? What do they accomplish by doing that?

What confused me the most was that I had taken Tali and Garrus with me whilst being hit by Harbinger's beam and they both appeared on the jungle planet that the Normandy crashed on. It made no sense to me.

EDI appears in the Synthesis ending, but not the others, since she'd be dead on enslaved. SO this points me towards the fact that the it may not be a dream. Unless of course Shep saw the Normandy and its crew crash land on that planet as well.

Actually, I thought of all that crap before seeing that video. He is not the only one who can bring those points up.
(not trying to sound like an ass but anyone who follows the series can think about it)

But that was how ME2 was, just without all the ****** plot holes.
If you destroy the base the explosion is orange
If you keep the base it is blue or something

It was more the fact how you brought up all the topics he talked about in that vid that made me believed you had watched it.

I wouldn't care if you copied them down on your own or not, they are still fairly valid.

The Mass Relays all go no matter the ending, as well as the Citadel.
The thing about the Mass Relays being destroyed tells me that there must be some other form of intergalatic travel. Bioware wouldn't destroy their most important lore. Without travel there wouldn't be a Mass Effect. So something is up therir sleeves, i'm sure.

Not sure why Joker ran, but Joker likely ran from the fight because of the fact that the EMP blast thing from the Crucible would have destroyed EDI in some form, and he cares too much for that to happen. Anyone on board would've come along for the ride. Doesn't explain the Synthesis ending though...

Referring to the Indoctrination theory, and Kam Sage's earlier post, about the "Destroy ending gets breathing scene."

Shepard breaks free of Harbinger's hold on him. Simple as that. The other two endings you're going with the Reapers because they make it out like those are the better choices. Your eyes also change to resemble Saren/TIM's in both the Synthesis and "Good" ending while Shep's being...torn apart?

I was basically sold to the Indoctrination theory when I read "Indoctrination" in the codex. "They see hallucinations of 'ghostly' presences (the dreams), Reapers manifest as 'alien' voices in your head (you hear a lot of your friends talking and 'Shepard' in the dreams), can make allies seem like enemies (Anderson has red ending), trusting enemies (TIM has blue ending), and making the Reapers seem sweet."

Dunno if anyone has already said basically the same thing as I just did or not, too much to read through.

Oh, I didn't notice. Guess I was too against the idea of giving The Illusive Man the Collector Base to ever go with that ending lol

Yes, all this. Bioware has given way too much proof to ever deny this.

@Sage. I'm sorry I sounded like an ass.
