How do I say "Noob" in Japanese?

I have a little challenge from my friend. I need to find out the Japanese equivalent of noob (Their internet insult), and how to pronounce it in English.

Please? I really wanna hop onto the bus and scream "[noob equivalent] desu!"

Just wrote a few words that Japanese to me.... Don't know heck what they mean or if they even are words.

Osu is something you say with JudoKa... I think...

I mean, Japan has a really polite culture so... :huh: umm, you could use one of the honorifics like -sama or -dono (eg. name-dono). Usually those two examples are used to show upmost respect but if person hasn't done anything to you to earn that respect or they are your ememy then it can be really insulting. Use those in a sarcastic tone and it could pass! A sarcastic sempai could also work. ​

Jeez, on there ya get like 10 different explanations. See nr.2 is what I said. My friend is jap and she calls herself that. In a non negative way, she means anime obsessed. I basically believe that more than urban dictionary.

 

Yes but it is still used as a derogative term in Japan. Does your friend know the real meaning? Maybe she is just playing around.

 

Exactly, while not in America, otaku has a negative meaning in Japan.
