Hogwarts:Breaking Dawn

Lake remained silent for a little while longer, biting down so hard on her lip to stop herself from falling into a fit of sobs once again that it was surprising she had drawn blood. Eventually even that couldn't hold back her tears any longer and she curled up tightly with her head in her hands, crying and sobbing. Her tears coming so fast they were streaming not only down her face but down her neck and down her hands and over her arms too.

 

"you should get some sleep....its been a long day..."Maddie said getting up to leave,it wasnt that late,in truth,she didnt know what to do right now...plus the smell of blood was getting to her"i'll come see you tomorrow."

 

Lake nodded as she moved away from her, curling up near the pillows at the top of the bed. Unable to so much as say good bye, or thank you, or sorry to her as she was struggling to breath through the tears, let alone speak.

 

she shut the door behind her and went back down stairs

 

"So how is she?" Casey asked, looking up from the newspaper he'd been searching through to find his favourite section aka the cartoons.

 

"i think my darling brother's broke her heart,then stamped all over it and threw it away....so if that tells you how she is..."

 

"Oh... So not very good at all..." Casey said, cringing slightly. "If he does come back he'll be lucky to live to see the next day at this rate."

 

"I know....because i'll be the one killing him....he's really hurt her....nobody deserves that....not if he loves her."

 

"It's got to be killing her..." Casey sighed.

 

"it is....i will be....she probaly wont be the same for a while....remeber what i was like when-"she looked at Antony"when he left? i was like a zombie? i looked like someone had died? you'd better pray she doesnt get like that....cos that is the sign of a broken heart..."

 

"I hope it doesn't get like that... It was hard enough dealing with you like that and we've known you your whole life, we know next to nothing about her since she was always so quiet when we spoke to her..." He sighed.

 

"I know....i'll talk to her again tomorrow."

 

"Okay." Casey nodded. "Prob'ley for the best seeing as you two would prob'ley understand each other best... As weird as that is seeing as one of you's a vampire and the other is a werewolf." He added on, with a slightly confused expression.

 

"weird things happen..."she shrugged

 

"Too true..."

 

she leaned against the wall,twirling a bit of her hair around her finger

ooc-i had this idea that everybody moves to the cullen's,just for safety because someone from the voultri came to say that if they fought,even the humans would be killed,so maddie's trying to protect everyone and thats where mickey comes back.ofcourse it'd be maybe weeks or months since he left,maybe around about christmas

Maddie was sitting on the couch,staring at the blank t.v screen,now and then she'd glance up at the vampire's that passed her,Carlisle had taken Antony's idea about calling their vampire friends into action,ever now and then,more would arrive...she supposed it was good...the more help they had the better....though there was a down side,most drank human blood....so she never left her families side.

 

Lake was sitting outside on the cold, damp grass of the back garden's law, gazing skyward with a glazed and blank expression, away from the crowd of humans and vampires that she felt so alone and alien in the midst of. It'd been a while now, months, since he'd gone but if anything she just felt worse and worse with each passing day. She barely slept, and when she did it was little more then passing out from sheer exhaustion. She only ate when she was forced to and she spent her entire time just gazing blankly at something, usually the sky. Even in her wolf form, which she often changed into just to dull the pain for a few short hours, she seemed vacant. Like every part of joy and happiness had been sucked out of her, and she seemed to create a emotional vacuum around here. Anyone who was in the room with her for more then a short while soon felt a unsettling feeling of despair. Her eyes that were once sparkling jewels in her fair face were now dull and lifeless. And she looked far, far sicker then she had done before she'd first met Mickey, because now she not only felt like life wasn't worth living but it also had no hope at all... He'd been gone this long, what were the chances of him ever coming back? Ever...

 

Maddie sighed as she smelled more 'helpers' come talk to carlisle and esme,apperently,Antony was sorry he had the idea too...all these vampire's were beginning to get a little annoying.
