Lake shook her golden head before giving him a look that clearly stated that she wasn't leaving him on his own any time soon.

"Everything basicly."

 

he rolled his eyes and took off again

"that....was part of the voultri.....they're like vampire cops...i dont really know much about them apart from they're the oldest of they're-my kind."she corrected

 

Lake quickly took after him.

"And why are they after her?" Casey enquired, jerking his head towards his half-breed grand-daughter.

 

"Because....they think she's a immortal child..."
"whats that?"
"a child who's been bitten by a vampire...they're worse than i was a few months ago...they cant control themselves...poor little things either die not long after of starvation or the voultri gets them..."

 

Lake carried on at the same pace as she had been before, jumping, chasing, almost tripping.

That's hardly immortal if they die... Casey thought to himself, a slightly confused expression gracing his face for a moment.

 

"its the adreniline that kills them dad....there's so much in vampire's....its too much for a child...."
"But...Esmya's not a...Immortal child..."lyra said confused
"we know that, but the voultri will beleive anything they hear....and if someone says she is....they'll..."he didnt finsh his sentence
lyra's eyes flicked from him to her granddaughter"No.they wouldnt! she's only a baby!"
"we know mum....."Maddie said" im not giving her up without a fight.....i cant do that....i wont do it."
"Neither will i."

"cant blame you for wanting to fight for her....you made yourself ill to have her, died giving birth to her and became a vampire for her to have you....i would fight too if it was me..."cory said

 

"You'd fight not matter if it was your child, no matter what you had to go through to have them..."

 

maddie nodded
"cant say we'll win though....if the fight seems like we'll lose,we can always run..."
"dont they have that tracker vampire...demetri?"
he sighed"oh yeah..."
"we'll talk about it later..."

he burst through the bushes across from his house

 

Casey sighed.

Lake soon appeared after him.

 

once they reached the car,maddie got into the back seat,antony following her
lyra got in the front.

he streaked across the road

 

Casey carefully put Immy into the back-seat of the car before following in himself.

Lake followed after him, although slightly slower as if she was spotted it was more then likely the witness would just think of her as a cross between a golden retriever and a husky.

 

mickey ran around the back of the house to the back door where a doggy-door was,it was part of a joke cory had made

antony suddenly snapped his fingers"i know what we can do!"he said"we could get all the other coven's who are friends with us to help out....im sure Tanya wi-what?"he said as maddie made a noise at the name Tanya
Nothing..."

 

Lake continued to follow after him, pulling a rather amused expression as she saw the dog door.

Casey pulled a rather confused expression.

 

he went inside and sprinted up to his room

"no,you made a noise when i said 'Tanya.'"He said "there you did it again...."he suddenly looked paler"you-you know about her dont you?"
"Yes."she sniffed stiffly
"Im gonna kill Rosalie! Maddie i swear, nothing happend! she was into me i didnt like her that way!"
"Hmmmhm."
"are you....jealous?"

 

She carried on after him before they reached his room, she sat down outside his bedroom door and curled up on the floor. Looking rather like an over-grown retriever puppy.

Immy face palmed at the bickering couple in the front seats.

 

"No, why would i be jealous?" she sounded angry and upset
"dunno....you tell me.."
Listen to me, i am not jealous,of some immortal slapper,got it?!"she had heard what like Tanya was,throwing herself at every male vampire possible

lyra sighed

Mickey came out his room,fully dress,wiping his tounge with his hand,pulling a disgusted face

 

Casey rolled his eyes and stared out of the window.

Lake picked her head up and looked up at him as if to say: Well if you will rip apart vampires.

 

"Yeah,yeah i know...."he said rolling his eyes

he sighed and adjusted his hold on his daughter,who was now dozing"look...nothing happend alright?"

she shrugged

 

Lake snapped at his ankle suddenly with a faint snarl before she jumped up and walked off into his room where the rest of her clothes were. She slammed the door shut behind her with surprising force with her hind leg.

 

he pulled a confused face and went down stairs
