"Oh just f*cking stop arguing and bugger off the pair of you! You're old enough to not have to be babysat and watched over to make sure you don't throw your dollies out of your prams!" Casey shouted.

"fine!"mickey said getting up,stamping his feet as loudly as he could,he stomped up the stairs and slammed his room door as hard as he could

"I didnt do anything it was him...."cory muttered
"cory.....do what your told..."]
"rgh,cant wait to i move out of here....i swear to god..."He muttered angrily"get away from you lot of moody whiney sh-"he kept muttering all the way up the stairs

lyra bit her lip,leanning against the counter,all this time she'd been trying to figure out why maddie had sounded upset....had antony done something to her? was she hurt? did they have a fight?

 

"Mickey... You okay...?" Immy asked nervously as she looked around the edge of his only just slammed door.

Casey sighed and dropped down into one of the kitchen chairs, placing his head in his hand and rubbing his temples.

 

"no,didnt have to shout like that!"he said loud enough for it to carry down stairs
"shut up micheal!"

 

Immy whimpered quietly and ran off into the depths of her own room. Terrified of not only the loudness of the shout but at the unprovoked nature of it.

"Don't shout at your sister like that! She didn't do anything!"

 

"rgh!"he jumped off his bed"Im outta here...dunno when or if ill be back!"he said stroming out the house,almost taking the front door off its hinges in his anger

"maddie? ready to go?"
she nodded

 

"It's an when... He'll get hungry... eventually." Casey muttered dropping his head onto the table. "Hormonal hurricane..."

Lake had long since stopped singing and was now walking along the top of the fence as though it were a gymnasts balance beam. Since it was close to the full-moon her agility and speed was far greater then usual so she was able to walk along it with little to no effort.

 

"he's grounded when he comes back..."she said

mickey shoved his hands in his pockets

 

"Indefinatly at that..." Casey added in a muffled voice through the arms he'd folded around his blonde head.

Lake looked around one last time to check if any muggles were around before closing her eyes and disapperating. She re-materialized a few feet infront of Mickey just in time for a gust of wind to sweep up from behind her, not only blowing her hair straight over her face. Which made her once again bear a striking resemblance to Cousin It and almost swept her shortish white, Gothic Lolita type skirt up. It would of managed it too if it wasn't for the fact she caught it just in time and held it down.

 

"do you think i should call maddie again,the more i think about it....the more i worry..."

he blinked,suprised by the sudden apperence"Hi."

"Lets leave it a little longer... She may just of spooked herself or something..."

"Hey." She said, cringing slightly that out of anyone she could nearly of flashed it was him.

"We can hope..."

"Not much... You okay?"

 

"hmmm...she'd tell us if something was wrong....right?"

"yeah,i will be..."

 

"Yeah... I'm sure she would, why wouldn't she?"

"Will be? What's wrong?" Lake asked as she wandered quickly over to him.

 

"I dont know....i just have this feeling...that somethings not right with her...a motherly instinct..."she bit her lip"Im going to see if she told jamei anything....if theres one person i know she would tell its her."lyra said

"Nothing....

 

"But like Jamei's going to tell. That girl could go through all the levels of hell and still not say a word once she's said she wouldn't."

"There's something the matter..."

 

"she would if its serious,jamei!"lyra called

"its nothing...i was arguing with cory,dad lost his temper,i lost mine,took it out on immy, dad yelled again and left saying i didnt know if i was going back"

 

"You know she has a different perception of what's serious or not to a normal person." Casey sighed.

"What is it Aunty Lyra?" Jamei called back down.

"Sounds like a nasty argument... Just give it time to cool down, it'll be alright after a little while." Lake smiled encouragingly.

 

worth a try"she said"jamei,did maddie tell you anything on the phone? did she seem...upset to you?"

he shrugged
