"Uncle cory?"teddy said,tugging on his leg

"your tired?" his godson nodded"alright,time to go home anyway..."cory sighed as he heaved himself out his chair"work tomorrow anyway."he picked up teddy"bye maddz,have fun,be sure to call me.."cory said hugging his sister,he punch antony lightly on the arm"be good to her,or ima gonna kick your vampire butt."he joked,he turned but carrie,blocked his way
"Keys."she said hand out streched
"why?"
"you've been drinking,i havent...duh."
"so?im not drunk,im not even tipsy.""
"sure your not,keys.now"
he groaned and dug in his pockets"this is what wives get like Ant,pushy bossy little-"he stopped

 

Casey sat down sulkily next to his wife, sticking his tongue out at her. "And I'm not!"

"Wafer thin ice Cory. Wafer thin ice." Immy giggled.

Lake's arms slowly wrapped around the back of his neck, her hands only just meeting. She nervously and slightly clumsily, seeing as this was, as embarrassing as it was to admit, her first kiss.

 

"Casey, Your getting bossed around by a woman...It makes you childish by law.." Jack said grinning.

 

"what were you going to say?"
"nothing..."
"thats what i thought."she said taking his free hand"see you all tomorro,well not you maddie,have a good time."she smiled

lyra stuck her tounge back out
"Both of you are such kids."
"im not."Lyra said"im the more mature parent."

he pulled away"whoa,didnt think you....i mean...im sorry about that..."he said letting going of her

 

"Bye." Immy said with a small wave.

"You is certainly not!" Casey objected.

Lake let go too, looking straight down at the floor. One of her slender fingers pressed gently against the lips that until that split second had been against his. Was that it...? Had he just been caught up in the moment...? Had once again she become fortune's fool...?

 

"yes i am."lyra said
"Oh no."jordan muttered"here we go."

"do you....uh...do you want to go back in?"he said,slightly shocked,but more embarrased at what he'd done,his eyes were slightly wider than normal

cory somehow managed to wave

 

"Oh no you're not!" Casey retorted in a panto style voice.

"N-N-No... I-I-If you w-w-want t-t-to th-th-then g-go on..." She replied in a barely audible voice. So it was a spur of the moment thing... I should of known...

 

"Oh yes,i am."

he looked at her"hey....um...you should know....that- that wasnt spur of the moment....i like you....seriously i do...i dunno why i pulled away so quickly....so dont....dont be upset."he said,taking one of her hands and rubbing his thumbs in circles on it,he smircked the malfoy smirck

 

"Oh no you most certainly am not!"

Lake looked up again, shaking her ringlets from her face and smiling more then she ever had before. She gently placed her other hand over the one he was holding her's with.

 

"should we ask the kids?"

"come on."he said grinning,he jerked his head towards the door,then lead her inside

 

"Maybe we should." He said narrowing his bright blue eyes.

Lake smiled as she was led in by him.

"I think someone's going to be owing me, Cory and Jack a fair bit of cash judging by that grin."

 

"ok,we will.maddie,immy whos the more mature parent? me or your father?"

"Uh....kinda hard to say..."Maddie said sitting up straight"mum,i guess...dad's always messing around."

"whats happening?"mickey said sitting down in his chair again

"micheal,am i more mature than your father?"

"Uh...yeah...."he said confused

 

"Lyers." Casey said sulkily. "I can be plenty mature when I want to be."

Lake sat down in the seat beside him.

"I came in at the wrong time."

"dont you always?"shawn asked

 

Casey stuck his tongue out once again.

"Casey Scorpious Malfoy if I see that tounge of your's one more time it's coming off!"

"Yes mum..." He replied shrinking back from the yelling.

"Like I said, least it's entertaining."

 

lyra hid her smile behind her hand,there was a faint,"mummy's boy."

"these kind of things are."he laughed

"maddie we should be going..."Antony muttered,it was the first time he'd realy spoken anything aloud.

"and where exactly are we going?"

he grinned and tapped his nose.

 

"I agree with Nate....Somone does owe us a fair deal.."

Ada crept up behind Jack, and put on her mothers Voice. "Jack Raymond Clamoe...Are you betting?!"

 

"Oh shush." Casey said folding his arms.

"Pay up now Malfoy." Nate said creeping up behind him as well.

 

"N-no Mom I was ju- ADA!"

Ada snickered.
