It's the same in Norwegian High school. Six hour exams. Every damn class.

We get 4 exams, whereas 3 are written and one oral.
The 3 written ones are all 6 hours long... Such a b|tch to sit through. Fortunately for me, I blasted through them in 2 hours and still got an A in both of them :p

Now I'm in the US college system, and honestly... The finals here are easy as sh~t compared to what they are in the Nordic countries.

The teachers. I probably wouldn't be as interested in the things I am today or even be the same person without the guidance of some of my high school teachers. There were a lot of other things that I liked like the friends that I met, the clubs that I joined and the teams that I was a part of but the greatest impact on me were the teachers.

High school is only bad if you make it bad.

I also liked it. I made great friends and had great teachers.

I had a couple of good teachers that actually understood that their job was to educate and not solely administrate. But mostly, I had fun in high school. I had my personal, small circle of friends that I always hung out with. I had other circles of good acquaintances, enough to know if an event was happening and be able to actually go. I had a decent job that I enjoyed. Life was a lot less stress-free and a lot more fun back then. I never had any problems with bullies myself (though granted, I was probably a bully occasionally), so maybe that's why I enjoyed it more than other people on this site seemed to.

So the people who are bullied every day make people bully them day after day?

I've never been bullied myself, I just find it to be hilariously inaccurate when people say that.

Sure if you have a better attitude about things you're likely to have a better experience, but that alone is not enough to make an experience good if everything else is bad.
I didn't have any close friends till this year, so I guess If i had them from ninth grade on then I could see how high school might have been better, but that wouldn't be enough for me to forget how terrible almost everyone there is.

I've had three outstanding teachers while in high school. My Latin teacher that I've had every year is without a doubt the smartest and most approachable person I've ever met. My Ap US History teacher was spectacular, she was my favorite teacher just because of the way she taught the class and the type of person she was (she was a lot like me), and the teacher of an elective I have right now dealing with world affairs, she's a lot like the History teacher I mentioned, only slightly more eccentric, which I'm not really a fan of. I've had other great teachers too, but those three stand out above the others.

I hate high school. People in my high school are full of sh i t, hypocritical, I don't like the friends around me, most people sit there and wine or try to attract attention. The people are *******s as well as incredibly irritating. But the teachers are badass!
