Pfeh. I beat Flamelurker with a physical build. Once you learn his pattern, he's no big deal.

If you check the map on the Demon's Souls wikidot, you'll see it's on the far right of the stage--to your right from the Leechmonger's Archstone, and to the left from the Dirty Colossus's. It bridges the gap you'll see if you follow the upper path on the right from Leechmonger. Also, make sure you go back and get the treasures. You do NOT want to try going for any vital treasures (or even ones you don't particularly care about) on subsequent runs; the scaling difficulty curve will make you look dirty.

If you're willing to kill Selen Vinland, you can get the Blind, a Ring of Devout Prayer, and a set of Dull Gold armor. If you're a Faith build, look for a Mirdan Hammer; as I recall it's not terribly hard to find. Also for Faith Builds: This is a great place to farm for Faintstones, especially if you start from the DC stone and work your way back; you can backstab a bunch of poor sods and make off with their shinies.

For the Large Sword of Moonlight, you have to ascend a spiraling path to the far north and knock down a hive full of ****** slugs. The sword then drops onto an islet, which will be swarming with the iridescent prick-beasts by the time you get back down. It was relatively easy for me to pick them off (HI I'M MR. CLEAVER, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME MEEEEAT), but for builds that can actually make use of the thing (mages), it might be complete hell.

Also, on the south side of the map there's a group of islets that are guarded by a Cleaver-wielding Black Phantom. I'm pretty sure all you get is a Cat's Ring and Pure Suckerstone though, so if they're not imperative to your quest then just leave them; the barbarian skank's not worth dealing with.

I just finished my first run through. I decided that four of the five archdemon's needed to die in one night apparently.

But yeah, I took a cursory look at the map and I feel like I swallowed my pride and used it from the start since that map is ugly as fuck anyways instead of just walking along the wall until I ran into something. Also, I found dull gold armor is lying on the ground somewhere a certain distance in a random direction from the sword of moonlight in 5-2 no need to even fight for it. It's nice since my female wanderer can't wear half the armor I pick up off of dead people anyways. Also, faith builds are lame. I had 8 faith until two days ago when I decided I wanted to use demonbrandt. Yup, that's pretty much the story.

    CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
    MSPAINT ADVENTURES STYLE!

"TELL IT TO MY CLEAVER, BITCH"

No one could recover from that. The generous girth of your chopping implements simply cannot be ignored.

Your BRAVADO meter makes a drastic spike, for some reason. The blasted thing must be broken again.
    "...You're lame ;_;"

It could not be more obvious that you have surrendered the advantage. Your only hope is that your trusted friend will apologize for her transgression and give you a warm, fuzzy hug--perhaps to be followed by the admission of infatuation with your warrior-priest's noble disposition and rugged good looks.

    ...Christ, you're pathetic.
