Have You Ever Made Great End Credits?

Here's one of the many videos where I have credits:

Feel free to watch the whole video, though. It's got awesome music in it -- at least in my opinion.

 

I tried making some galactic credits. It turns out that the Hutt slave trade is not profitable anymore.

but yupp, in my experience it's really difficult to strike a balance between making credits both legible/informative and entertaining haha... Had to do it for the 2011 MEP. Can't let the words move too fast or no one can read it, can't make it too boring or no one will watch : P.

I think making credits for films, like the motion graphic-y/typography sorts of things a lot of movies have, would be a really cool job. Almost no one sticks around for them in the theaters, which is kind of a shame because I'm sure a lot of work goes into the cool kinetic credits sequences.

Most films nowadays have after credits stingers or outtakes during the credits. Either as a way to set up for the next film or as just a silly post-credits scene.

Marvel's pretty much made a science of this with the core-Avengers movies.

I used to see credits as a chance to put in another song that I likes but I have never really made AWESOME credits. Maybe I will one day.

If they' re cool I do stick around, I dabbled a little in CGI and animation so I know how much thought goes into it. I was the only one in my class who didn' t just throw scrolling names in my final project.

I loved what they did with the Prisoner of Azkaban credits for instance, there are several jokes going on in the background if you pay attention. The following HP movies were a big letdown in that regard.

After Effects or something similar I suppose. If you don' t want to feel overwhelmed with a professional software (or don' t want to pirate anything, After Effects isn' t exactly cheap) I suggest you read the information of this kinetic typography video, it lists a bunch of free softwares :
