Has this ever happened to you?

Have you ever been in the situation where you're walking and see someone you sorta know and you've met a few times before, and wonder "Would it be weird if I said 'Hi', or would they be offended if I didn't say 'Hi'?"

And then you sort of wave to them and say "Hey", but they completely ignored/didn't see you?

 

Yes, when i pass my teachers at campus, i'm like, 'ARE THEY LOOKING AT ME? I DONT THINK THEY REMEMBER ME? SHOULD IS SAY HI? WHAT FUCKING DO?'

Usually i just say "good morning/afternoon" and keep walking, and they usually just mumble something i can barely hear.

 

Yeah, I was at the orthodontist on Wednesday and I saw someone from school that's not my friend but I've seen her before, and that's extremely weird because I thought everyone went to the orthodontist in my town, not a number of towns away :x so I said hi and she just ignored me ._.

 

I just give a respectful nod. Less informal and less awkward but you're still showing them that you're not ignoring them.

 

This always happens. Then when you wave and they ignore you it makes you feel kinda stupid for waving in the first place.

Yeah, I get embarrased :x though I should expect them not to wave back xD

 

And don't you hate the feeling when you really want to talk to someone and they are looking in another direction and you try your hardest to get their attention but you're just making a fool out of yourself in the process? :/gasp:

 

Well, for me, it's more or less just trying to get their attention by looking straight in their eyes, or around their face, and I see them walk pass looking at me with their paripheral vision to see if I'm looking at them, and then they just go back to what they were looking at.

 

My town is mostly wannabe gansters and sluts, so most people pretend I don't even exist since I'm not trying to look and act like one :U
