I would have liked for Harry to die, along with Veldimort (srry don't know how to spell his name) I like when the main characters die, it brings more feelings towards them.

You're honestly the first person I've ever hear say that.

I was totally satisfied by this book.

Oh, and Destiny's Force, I figured that Fleur and Bill's baby wasn't named after Victor Krum, but I believe that they had the baby soon after Voldemort was defeated so the name was kind of representing Victory. I doubt it had anything to do with Krum.

    really?

No. It doesn't let fans continue the story. I know JK said something about that somewhere.

Are you sure? I assumed Bill and Fleur's kid was named Victoire because of Krum. You know, in honor of all of the school's unity during the dark times?

I was also suprised about the Harry/Ginny thing. When i read the epilougue at dinner and totally spoiled it for my sis, who only like waiting for the movies, everyone, inlcuding me was still shocked.

Well I suppose it could go either way, they're both similar concepts. Maybe she'll mention it in the Encyclopedia she's publishing.

She needed to drawn out the deaths more. Lupin and Tonks... Their death sucked, not only because they should have lived. Snape I would have liked to die in a different fashion.

Also, the final fight between Harry and Voldy needed to go on longer.

Oh, and everything after the battle sucked. I wanted to see a mass grave and funeral! I found the Epilouge cheesy. Ugh. Albus Severus? Puh-leeze!

i personally thought the whole book PWND!!! Rowling really left with a great ending, she tied up all lose ends and overall she blew all other book serieses out of the water for atleast 20 years... there will never be another series like harry potter...

I loved it, I cried so much.... The only critism is that the Voldemort/Harry battle was quite pathetic... But maybe that's because I've got used to the whole 'Final Form' Boss Level thing. :3

I think you're might be reading to much into the name, I think it's prob'ley just a french name she liked. I mean Harry Potter was just a name she liked and an old neighbours family name.

Oh, and I think Draco Malfay should of had a chance to redeem himself. He was so close to turning to the Orders side before Snape stepped in, on Dumbledor's orders, but still. He did take that chance away from him...

I thought the Golden Compass was pretty entertaining and I really enjoyed the movie. However, I don't think I'll be reading the second and third book. I started the second one but it's beginning to make me uneasy (I'm Christian, and since the last two books are basically about trying to find God and destroy him, I'd rather not read it).

Voldemort killed James with the Killing Curse before he killed Lily.

ol' Voldy used the Killing curse on James Potter downstairs as Lily rushed upstairs to try to protect Harry. Voldy came up, killed her with the killing curse as well as she was trying to protect harry (cue old protective magic that Voldy wasn't expecting).

hence when he turns the wand on harry, he is unable to kill him because Lily died protecting Harry.
