That may be, but we were raised different too weren't we? Maybe we were more protected against such knowledge than it is today.

I probably would've been the same. Like, tilting my head and asking them what they were doin'.

    'Mummy, what is daddy doin'?'

Worst thing my older brother did to me was he put my gecko on top of the ceiling fan, and he threatened to pull the chord. The things that guy does sometimes :nono:

Knew more than enough by the time I was 10.

I really don't think being sheltered is the answer. Some girls start menstruating at age 10; being ignorant of such things can just lead to disasters if you ask me.

That's why there are classes about this. I dunno when they started them though. I got it as soon as i started it in secondary school. They didn't have sex ed in primary school, and my parents never bothered to tell me.

    Sucks.

Well yeah, there are classes, but you don't have to have taken a class to at least know fundamentally what it is and what it does.

I'll excuse 10 and consider myself just a deviant, but not knowing the fundamentals of what sex is by 12 is a bit concerning if you ask me. Or rather, I think if you don't know what it is by 12, you've clearly been sheltered intentionally--and fairly well at that considering today's society and media. And I think that feigning complete ignorance of the subject to your kids is a lot worse than actually educating them.

Because we all know how really great, effective and informative the mandatory sex ed classes are /sarcasm.

Awwww, that little fella is so cute..... <3

But that's just it. This wasn't today. This was during the 90s, or at least the year of the millenium. After that it's gotten much more open about such issues.

If you ask me, the flare of 'sex sells' is just as prevalent as it was in the 90s.

And for the record, you would've been 14 in 2001-2002, not the 90s. And if after the millennium the entire subject had become 'more open' like you claim; that would've made you really sheltered if you were 14 and didn't know 'what it was'. O.o

It's not something that i watched growing up, or that i watch now. I knew what it was, but i never saw it. And aye, i did live a very sheltered life.

lol, aye. Those classes do a bang up job. A source of many lols.

Not in Norway it wasn't... And less in the smaller communities like the one I live in.
