And that "metaphor" is a theme that's been relevant through the entire Kingdom Hearts series. Every main villain is in some kind of explosion or engulfed in light. And if you see something on the Japanese version that's not on the English, it's not symbolic. It's finding flaws and diminishing the value of the English version.
