Greek gods in modern America!

"Well, I guess I was seeing you and Artemis when you were gods and than Zeus banished you here."

 

"Wow." he said. "That is definitely interesting."

 

Saki smiled toward Hermes. "If your father does come tomorrow, we'll show him how happy we are together."

 

"That might just make him angry." he said.

 

"Lets just pray he doesn't show." Artemis was leaning against his door.

"Artemis?!" Saki shouted.

"Some work is going on around my place and I can't sleep with that noise, so I'm bunking here." She explained. "I'll be upstairs." She walked to her room.

 

"Alright." he said.

 

Saki sighed. "I agree with Artemis. I hope Apollo only comes."

 

"So do I." he said.

 

"Hermes, what was it like?" Saki asked. "Being a god.'

 

"Well, it's pretty much like it is now, I delivered messages to the other gods. I had more power and I could fly, which made it easier." he said.

 

"You got the luck job, Hermes." Artemis said, her hands between her head. "I got struck, listening to virgins whining about their lives."

 

"Yeah, I guess you're right." he said.

 

"There were times I did visit Persphone in Hades and visited poor Echo." Artemis sighed.

"Really?" Saki asked.

"Yeah, don't ask how I got past Cerberus though."

 

"Cerberus isn't too bad once you get to know him. He's actually kinda sweet." he said.

 

"Remember when Orpheus tried to bring back his wife, but didn't listen Hades." Artemis said. "Man, I really felt sorry for the guy."

 

"Yeah." he said. "But he should have listened."

 

Saki listened to them talk about myths that happened hundreds of years ago as if they were yesterday and smiled.

 

Hermes smiled back at her.

 

"Man, all those memories." Artemis smiled. "Being a god was its good and bad moments."

 

"That it does." he said.
