"Yeah, that's true." he said.

 

"Apollo seems glad that I guessed he was Saki's attacker."

 

"So, it wasn't someone trying to get rid of her?" he asked.

 

"Hang on, I got another email from Apollo. Okay, no, Apollo was trying to tell Saki about her teacher and some others in town. Trying to tell her the truth."

 

"So wait, some one is out to get her? And what truth is he talking about?" he asked, more confused than ever.

 

"Maybe. He means the truth is that we're gods, gods exciled by Zeus. I told her that, remember?"

 

"Okay." he said. "I understand now. I didn't know you were talking about us, I thought there was some sort of conspiracy against her or something."

 

"Hey, he says Zeus might come to Saki's party tomorrow. So be careful."

 

"Great." he said, sarcastically. "That's just what we need."

 

"Yeah. Just don't let Saki face the wrath of our great 'father'."

 

"Don't worry, I'll do whatever it takes to protect her." he said. "Even if it means losing my own life."

 

"Pretty heavy risk there, Hermes. Saki would never wear the bell I gave her again if that happened."

 

"Well, I figure that if I die, I'll just go back to Olympus. Then I can just come back down here." he siad.

 

"I guess. But her only fear is losing me or you."

 

"But I would be back. So she really wouldn't lose me." he said.

 

"Yeah. Well, talk to you later."

 

"Yup." he said, hanging up the phone.

 

"I heard bits of it, but do you hate your father?" Saki asked.

 

"I don't really hate him, but I do hate it when he tries to pry into my life. I'm an adult and have been for thousands of years, and yet he still treats me like a kid." he said.
