Going to See Dark Knight Rises later

I never said it wasn't. I like the movie. And when I said Batman was a psycho and there being War Penguins I was talking about Batman Returns.

I think you meant The Dark Knight Returns. Which is decent. I was more or less refering to his other Batman works such as All Star Batman and Robin and The Dark Knight Strikes Again

And I found it a lot better than decent, but...personal preferences. There's an animated movie coming out for it (apparently in 2 parts) :D

 

No. A spoiler is a spoiler if someone has not finished the work. The only way you could argue that would be if playing that game was mandated for all ten-year-olds, and even then you could only use the logic around people older than ten.

 

Yeah... Personally I thought they should have given The Dark Knight Rises a different name. But eh. :\

Agree, but...I really can't think of a better name for it. I don't dislike the title the movie has, it's just...so similar to the last movie's.

I think so, like all of the other DC and Marvel animated movies.

 

I would have called it Gotham. It's simplistic, yes, but the movie seems to focus on various characters in it like Gordon, that one detective guy, Catwoman, Bruce Wayne (not Batman. Bruce Wayne), etc.

I think they do it that way because they don't think many people would be flooding theaters to see a cartoon. :\

 

I thought something like that, but more than simply "Gotham". Bane's awesome line brings an idea: "Ashes of Gotham". I still like the official title though.

More like, a cartoon not made by Disney or Ghibli. CG movies have pretty much replaced traditional animated ones, except ones made by those two.

 

Hmm, good point. The Dark Knight Rises isn't a bad title, yeah, but they could have done better. Also,Why is there no mention of The Joker in the movie? Pretty sure that isn't a spoiler, so be quiet Makaze.

Christopher Nolan stated in interviews that he didn't want to bring up the Joker because it would have been wrong to him, as well as unnecessary to the movie's plot.

 

Okay, that is a good reason. But I feel that they could of at least mention him offhandedly at one point and not mention him again. But hey, I won't complain.

The reason why I make that claim is because there are many sheltered and/or poor people who are not able to get into things until they become classics.

 

I got to say, after seeing this movie, it would certainly have been worth it if I stayed behind in the theater and watched it twice more. It was a great movie, and while I still probably prefer the third, it was a great story, and had many moments on its own.

 

...It was the third.

Second one was better, imo. The first two were much better story-wise and Joker was a better villain.
