God almost certainly doesn't exist

I can already tell this thread will go absolutely nowhere.

I've always found it a tad ironic that the belief that belief is false is a belief. And just like any good religion, it's divided itself into numerous sects (totally don't believe in god, doesn't believe there is any proof of god, but won't rule it out, not sure, etc.).

 

There's also the question of the true nature of god.

Honestly, we have no idea what religion is right or not, or if any of them are true at all.

God could be as sane as the guy who gave you pamphlets from the Flat Earth Society for all we know. He could also be a god who values the search for the truth instead of just faith. Infinite possibilites and all.

Christians are taking just as much a risk as anyone else really.

 

Don't worry, if their plan messes up, we'll just let Buddha decide what happens to us.8D

 

Atheists, Agnostics, and Deists are completely different groups of people.

 

I was always really interested in Buddhism. I should look that up some day.

That's true, though you can be one and the other depending on which one (there are such things as agnostic atheists, for example).

 

The entire reason religion can not be proved is because of the limits of science.

 

The only thing I know about it is that they worship a human god and that when they die, they either go to hell or get reincarnated.

 

God made you. youre proof God exists the Bible is too... you need to open your eyes and realize...poor you...ill pray for you ...pray that God helps you.just because you cant see something does not mean its not there....

 

I wouldn't bother, the basic beliefs of it, The Middle Way, the 8-fold path, Nirvana, etc, are all very legit and interesting. But when you get to the actual mythology of Buddhism it's all the same holy shit that every other religion offers.

 

Prove that God made me. And I really don't want your pity. Don't pray for me.

I think I might have been a lot more devote as a child if going to church wasn't so...boring. Though I can only speak for Mormon churches.

Though to be fair in the last few times I went, I did kind of enjoy myself, but probably not in the intended way.
