Honestly pirating things don't make you this immoral person or something. Seriously it isn't a huge deal.

No, you can buy the game and run it on an emulator. You can also get the BIOS from your PS2. I don't think I've done anything illegal by playing a game I bought, on an emulator of a console I own, to get better graphics.

You don't seem to understand that you can play the original game from the disc in the DVD Rom of your computer, which is what I am doing, and others as well.

playing with the disk is one thing, but downloading the game is another. If you're using the game disk and you payed for it go ahead, but if you're using an emulator to get games you don't have just so you don't have to pay for them, then that's wrong.

Well, I rather play in the PlayStation because it were originally designed to play in one. I know that some people may say something like being or not being the original propose, it doesn't matter. And maybe this really doesn't matter after all.

Some people rather play it on a Emulator. Other rather play in the console. There are people which has different point of views. I do prefer play it in the PS2 because... I enjoy more that way.

    Do I like the artist?
    Is it reasonably priced?
Will the money be going to the artist and not the record company?
Is the nearest music store not a billion kilometres away?
    Sure I'll buy it.

Unfortunately a lot of these things are hardly ever true thus I don't end up buying music.
    But here's the thing
    It's not

I've said it once and I will say it again and this time in BIG BOLD LETTERS!

WHEN YOU BUY A USED GAME! YOU ARE OBTAINING THAT GAME BUY PAYING SOMEONE WHO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PRODUCTION OF SAID GAME
THIS HURTS THE COMPANY BY NOT ONLY MEANING THAT THEY DON'T MAKE A PROFIT BUT ALSO BECAUSE THE MONEY THAT SHOULD BE GOING TO THEM IS GOING TO SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT DESERVE THAT MONEY!IT WOULD BE THE EQUIVALENT OF A MAN SPENDING A HUNDRED YEARS TO MAKE A MACHINE ONLY TO HAVE THAT MACHINE TAKEN FROM HIM AND DISTRIBUTED BY EVERYONE ELSE AND HE RECEIVES ABSOLUTELY NO MONEY FOR THAT ORIGINAL PURCHASE
MULTIPLIED BY HOW MANY COPES OF THE MACHINE HE MADE!
DO YOU SEE WHY THIS IS BAD!?
IF NOT THEN PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IT IS YOU FIND RIGHT ABOUT IT SO THAT I CAN REPHRASE MYSELF

    I do understand
    The difference is...
    One runs better
    One can have better graphics
One can compensate for different controllers
One does not have to worry about running out of space on a memory card
One can save screencaps as seen above
The ease of access is much better. If two people start playing Persona 4, one on an emulator and one on a PS2, the person on the emulator will have theirs up and running much quicker
    One is region free

Now explain to me HOW playing on a PS2 is better then playing on an Emulator
And please give an actual reason and not just "YOU DON'T UNERSTAND MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

What do you think they MADE the game with?
What do you think they MADE the Playstation with?
HINT: You're using it right now

Oh God, this guy is really p!ssed off. =O

Well... There may be those differences, but there are people that enjoy the PS2 way of playing, with a controller, calm, with the own Memory Card, CD, Controller etc... just as the good and old days. PS2 are made by this propose. You can chose, you have your owns reason and as any feeling, cannot be explained.

Think about it this way. There are 10 copies of a game in the world and they are only on sale for one day, and ten people get chosen to buy them. Each game is in the same store, set at $5 each. 7 people go in to buy the game, so that's $35 right there; but the 3 others don't get sold because the other 3 people find out that the game is on an emulater. The company right there just lost $15 dollars for that game because those three people decided to use an emulator instead of buying the actual game. Even if someone buys the game used from someone else, that price is added to the amount that people payed for that game for the whole year, compared to people just buying off an emulator and not paying a single penny. At the end of the year, if there are more people playing a game then what was really bought, a company is going to lose money.
And going all bold and red with your words isn't going to make any difference. I play on a system because that was what it was intended for. If it was made for the PC and PS2, I'll buy it for the PS2 because I like playing games on the PS2 more. If someone wants to play the game on the computer, buy the PC version, not use a stupid emulator.
And no, you don't understand the difference between playing the two games. I'm not talking about playing a game based on graphics or sound quality or any of that stuff. I'm talking about something else, and you don't seem to understand that certain reason.

And it doesn't matter if the game was made using a computer. If it was intended for the PS2, Xbox, or whatever, then use that instead of an emulator. That's how I feel. You do realize that you're just fighting a useless argument don't you?

Didn't I already say that each person has his/her own view and they can decide what they want? I just think that emulators are dumb and shouldn't be used

But what IS it about the PS2 that you like more then the emulato-
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RISJ--pvxmU&feature=related

    1. That has got to be THEE MOST outrageous example I have ever read in my life. I shouldn't even BOTHER dissecting it but I will.

What's stopping 3 new customers from buying that game?
In real life people are not CHOSEN to buy a game, there is simply a quota that a company plans to meet. Square doesn't care if one black person in America has a copy and one Spaniard has two, they just care that they meet the quota.

But none of that money goes to the COMPANY THAT MADE THE GAME
    So it's meaningless.
Like I said, it doesn't matter if spent $100 on the game, at the end of the day Square didn't get their money, how much money you gave someone else is meaningless.

But when you do THAT you're not giving money to someone who doesn't deserve it
When you buy it used you ARE giving money to someone who doesn't deserve this
What is so hard to understand about that?
Seriously, I'm I wording it wrong? Please tell me what it is that is so hard to understand about that above sentence because it's clearly not getting through to you that TAKING CREDIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK IS BAD!

The game was made on the computer
When making the game for the PS2 they had to take into consideration the weaknesses of a PS2 compared to a PC and squish it onto there
When playing on the emulator you are taking off the restrictions that the company had when making the game

    What about this sounds bad?

Even if the PS2 version is glitchy as hell? Or freezes at random spots?

How about instead of being so ****ing ambiguous you tell me what that reason is
It's not graphics as I've already proved how that's better on an emulator
It's not sound because I've proved that to
It's not controls because I've proved that to
And it's not gameplay because the above enhance your gameplay experience the better they are

    Sound
    Graphics
    Gameplay
    Controls

The 4 things the primarily make up a game
So tell me, if it's not any of these FOUR ESSENTIALS TO MAKING A GAME
    WHAT THE **** IS IT!?

And I'm just telling you that your reasons for thinking this are ****ing ******ed.
You can hate emulators all you want
Just realize that the reason you hate emulators make no sense at all.
