I bought a new game which was rated M for "mature audiences 16 years and over". Apparently there are 0-15 year olds that have facial hair, are almost six foot and have a deep voice because the retailer asked if I was over 16. I think he needs new glasses.
My friend has a babyface and when he went to buy cigarettes for his underage cousin, the guy wouldn't sell them to him because he thought he was using a fake ID because he looks so young.
Woah woah back up, I thought M was for 17 and up? Does this mean I can buy M games? 8D Also I remember when I was... Fourteen or so and I went to buy a game with a friend for her older brother's birthday. The game we picked (Geist, I think it was) was rated M, and we ended up having to ask the retailer OURSELVES if we needed to drag a parent over to approve the purchase for us. He was like, "Oh. Oh yeah." I seriously think whatever store you went to is the only place that enforces that rule.
I was in GAME with my dad and wanted to buy an 18. We went up to the till and I handed it to the guy and he said "I can't sell that to you, you're underage". So I handed it to my dad, right in the front of the guy like, and he bought it for me. It's kinda pointless =/
