    It's almost driving me to digital piracy, and sharing those pirated copies with all my classmates, therefore collectively saving about $2,000 (assuming $100 price tag with a class of 20 students) for each of my classes. Not to mention the energy and time saved that would have been used trying to buy a physical textbook and carrying it around, and then trying to sell it back at the end of the semester. Thus lowering college students' stress levels. But this would be WRONG.

    They just want to squeeze out as much money as they can out of students. We have to pay to learn for whatever reason. But it is hard carrying so many different books around. It hurts after a while.

    I know right, I've only been able to afford renting one book out of five, and even then I had to borrow the money ;.;

    Do it if you can. And furthermore, if you cannot find a copy, then find a way to make one and distribute it. Get it out there for all of us.

    Makes me glad I only needed one textbook this semester. And it was only ~30 bucks.

    Of course, I spend another 40 on art supplies, but that's beside the point.

    I am fairly certain God does not have a problem with you not meeting the expectations of greedy people.

    Well if it's for a good cause—helping the poor. Its not the book's fault it's readily online.

    Buy them used. You can sometimes find them in excellent condition.

    My house could have just been robbed for all you know (LOL). I will have to help myself if no one will.

    I've bought a used textbook before where it had all the really useful passages highlighted by a previous owner. I would have happily paid for it at full price for that kind of convenience.

    Really hard to read sarcasm in forums. If I knew, my response would have been something like: "I'm rich. I have a computer and Internet and T.V. and medicine."

    I am playing a game.

    Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: You have to open with payment.
    The Operative: That is a trap. I offer money, you will play the man of honor and take umbrage; I ask you to do what is right and you will play the brigand. I have no stomach for games.

    That doesn't make you rich. That just means you live in a developed country.

    To me, the fact you're already paying to be taught is a sign that you are already paying enough. Education should be as free or low cost as possible, knowledge is something that should be easily or freely shared. Do not ever feel guilty for learning for cheap, that is instead a gift.
