"Then lets go."she grinned

"oh i know that...all about the bride...as it should be."he smiled

 

"Yep." Lake giggled.

"I get the feeling this will prob'ley be the first day Lake's ever had that's all about her in all honesty."

 

she smiled and stood up.

"she deserves a day thats all about her."

 

Lake fiddled with her dress a little and continued to smile brightly.

Casey nodded.

 

she opened the door

"Mike...Uncle Casey..we gotta get goin'"Ronan said sticking his round the door

 

Lake walked through the door that Maddie was holding open for her. Picking her dress up slightly so that she didn't trip over it and damage the delicate fabric.

"I know, just waiting on his lordship here."

 

"and yet...you were the one who was talking to me..."he grinned "anyway...im ready."

she followed her out

 

"Alrighty then." Casey grinned. "Lets get going!" He exclaimed, clapping his hands together. He headed towards the door and left, only briefly sticking his head back around the door and saying. "And I was talking to you because I've been ready two hours and I was bored out of my effing mind." He chuckled before ducking back out again.

Lake giggled happily as she made her way towards the transport that would be taking her to the wedding. It was a pearly white, old fashioned limousine. The sort that was typically in films when a character was getting married, adding more to the feeling that Lake just couldn't shake that maybe it was all just one great big glorious dream.

Standing nearby the car was a slightly disgruntled looking Nate, he'd been booted out of the house some time previously for supposedly bothering people and just generally getting in the way. But once he saw Lake in her bridal beauty he cheered up rather quickly, the whole family had grown to see Lake as another sibling or cousin and Nate's view was no different. Well, perhaps a little less innocent the his brother's or oldest cousin's. However seeing Lake looking not only so radiant but so happy too was something that couldn't fail to lift anyone's heart.

He stepped away from the car and opened the nearest door. He bowed slightly and grinned. "Your carriage m'lady." He chuckled.

"Evidently it's not just the Malfor branch that carries show-offs." Lake giggled sweetly as she headed towards the car.

 

He grinned and followed him out.

"Gettin' really grown up now aint ya?"Ronan joked"getting married."

"Come on Esmya..."maddie said leading the little girl out the door.

 

"Yes, Mickey's getting all grown up." Casey cooed mockingly as he headed down the stairs.

Lake delicately perched on the edge of the seat in the car and slid across the soft leather, making extra sure to get her skirts inside the vehicle.

 

He stuck his tounge out"that makes one of us."

"I got her Maddz...you go with Lake...go on."Anthony said taking Esmya

Maddie got in the car,careful not to sit on Lake's dress

 

"I is plenty grown up!" Casey whined. "I can count to ten, I has a job and I uses proper grammar." He said in a smug sounding voice.

Lake giggled slightly and moved her dress out of Maddie's way.

 

"you nervous?"she asked


"Keep telling yourself that...dad."

 

"A little." Lake replied. "Just the idea of people actually being there just to watch me is a little strange..."

"I shall, so meh!" Casey replied childishly, jumping off the bottom stair and turning to face them. On the word 'meh' he folded his hand and stuck out his tongue, blowing a raspberry at the two following.

 

"Im gonna say this one more time Mickey...you need to tell your Mum to get him help."

Mickey grinned"dont you think i havent tried?"


she smiled"once your up there...you kinda forget everyone is looking at you."

 

"Lyra loves me just the way I am." Casey grinned, putting on a rather kid-sy voice.

"I hope so, I've never really been in front of a big crowd before. The idea is quite daunting..."

 

he grinned

"you do forget...promise..."

 

"Now come on, or we'll be late. Don't want to keep your lover-ly bride waiting now, do we?"

"Good." Lake nodded firmly.

Nate closed the door on the two of the young women in the back seat and wandered around to the drivers side. "This is you're captain speaking." He said jokingly. "I'm afraid the scheduled driver for this ride has called in sick, so I'll be your driver for this afternoon. Remember to hold on tight and scream loudly when I hit a pedestrian as this is my first drive since I earned my license."

 

he grinned"no we dont."


maddie laughed

 

Casey chuckled once again, "Come on then." He said, bounding out the front door.

"It always astounds me how a man his age can be so energetic." Came a deep voice from a little way down the hallway as a tallish dark-haired man whom was about ten years Casey's junior wandered into sight. He was rather heavily scarred and he was wearing a dark suit with an emerald green tie. It was Casey's younger brother, Ben.

Lake laughed too, but after a moment she said in a deadly serious tone: "You do realise if you actually crash this car I'll eat you." followed by a small giggle.

"You eat me and you'll have to explain my disappearance to my mum." Nate chuckled as he back the car out of the drive and onto the main road.
