Wolfe smirked, then looked at Mickey and Lake. "Nah. I don't say names." she smirked, her black eyes averting back to Casey.

 

"So it's either my son or his girlfriend." Casey said knowingly.

"Yeah." Lake nodded. "She did."

 

"must've been hard for her though....cant imagine...not being able to see....anything at all..."

 

Wolfe smirked. "not so mcuh your son, just... Lake." she sighed, shaking her head. "It's frustrating to see a strong character like her just....not show her proper nature." She looked at Lake, her eyes narrowing slightly. "I'm gonna have to get her to lose her temper."

 

"It's her choice to be the way she is I expect. Though, she didn't use to be quite so... submissive I guess is the best word. She'd always been shy and quiet. But when I think about it she's a lot weaker willed then she was a few years ago." Casey said, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

"Well, she's doing very well for herself. And you know, apparently the other senses compensate for the loss of one of them. So she might even be better off, have a new idea about life."

 

He nodded"yeah,your right...deffinatly would give me a second thought about life..."

 

Wolfe nodded. "It's not the quietness about her...it's...the aura of weakness she has about her. Like she doesn't want to put up a fight. Like she is...frightened."

 

"I think I might know where it comes from actually... I'm not certain, but I think I know." He said after a moment of pensive pondering.

Lake nodded. "I know it would make me completely re-arrange my priorities and things."

"Anyway..." Lake said quietly, trying to move the topic away from such depressing conversation. "Anything interesting happen on your trip? Beside you getting your arse handed to you by your sister."

 

"i did not get my arse handed too me..."he said "and not really....it was really nice there though...could live there..."he grinned

 

"Sounds nice." Lake smiled.

 

"it was...but i wouldnt adapt properly over there...."he grinned"no matter how nice."

 

"Oh? How come?"

 

"wouldnt feel right....what with me over there and everyone else here."

 

"And why might it be?" Wolfe asked curiously. She wasn't used to talking for this long with someone; she either ended up arguing with them, or she would get bored and walk away from whoever she was socialising with.

 

Casey looked over at the young couple in the corner of the room briefly before turning on his heel and beckoning for Wolfe to follow him out of ear shot and eye sight into empty kitchen. He didn't want his son to over hear what he was about to say as it didn't show him in the kindest light, or for either to feel as though there had been a betrayal of trust.

"I suppose that's a point." Lake nodded.

 

Wolfe followed, chewing on another ciggurette again as she looked to the floor. Once in the kitchen, she slid onto the table and crossed her legs, looking at Casey intently as she began to chew the white stick of tabacco again.

 

"still...wouldnt mind living there...just couldnt."
