Lake giggled and headed back inside the house.

 

"hey Carrie,wheres your man?"Mickey asked

"Oh good your back,here look after Caleb for me for a hour or so while i go out..."Carrie said completly ignoring her brother in laws question

"where are you goin'?"Mickey said in panic,he'd never looked after a kid before,he held his nephew akwardly

"i got t go get some baby things for the new little one havent it?"she said ajusting his hold on her son"thanks Mike! your a life saver."

 

"It's just a kid Micky. It's not going to eat you." Lake giggled as she looked over his arm at Caleb. "Heya Caleb." She said in an sing-song tone, tickling him lightly with a finger.

 

kids tend not to like me..."he muttered as caleb giggled

 

"You've barely spent any time with them since you were a little kid." Lake giggled, carefully taking Caleb off of him.

 

"even back then they didnt like me...."he said

 

"It's not that difficult to look after a kid really." Lake said as she sat down with Caleb on a nearby chair. "Just don't make them cry."

 

"how do you not make them cry? give them what they want?"

 

"I'm not sure how to explain it, just keep them happy. Make sure they're fed, have enough food, sleep enough and keep them entertained. I find that works." Lake explained, tickling Caleb again with a small smile.

She loved small children and babies, they were so adorable. And having a baby was one of her biggest ambitions, though if Mickey didn't want kids it wasn't going to be something she pushed forwards of course.

 

he smiled"you really like kids...dont you?"

 

"Yeah... I guess so." Lake replied, a smile on her face as she watched Caleb.

 

"he is kinda cute...just now."he grinned ,Caleb smiled up at them

"All babies are cute all the time." Lake giggled slightly.

"you obvoiusly havent seen most of the kids in my family...like when my uncle kerians kids were little...oh they were a nightmare...but luckily it was cory who had to look after them "he grinned

 

"I used to have to help look after the littlest ones in my children's home... Before I got bitten that is. Afterwards I was kept away from most other children..."

 

"seriously?"he said

 

Lake just nodded in response. "Apparently I was too dangerous..."
